Never Give Up. Never Surrender

Life is about an enduring fight for survival, so it seems natural for mankind to fight against the aggressors that threaten its existence. Yet to many, it does not seem to them that they are in battle since they have given in to the will of the ruling oppressors. They have submitted their right to think and act freely for liberties imposed by the ruling terrorisers who dictate our movements and our speech based on their criteria and agenda. Those that are enlightened will be aware of this effect and they will not give up, despite any physical or mental shortcomings. They will continue to fight for freedom, for the truth and for their righteous beliefs. They will also fight to be just, to trust their intuition, and to simply be. They will never give up in their quest to be who they are even if they wind up being in the minority. They will never give up in their quest to right the wrong, to warn wrongdoers of the outcomes and consequences, to guide the heedless wanderer back onto the straight path. There is no surrender in the spirit of those who believe that the just can conquer justice, that power is more fruitful than being powerful and that being truthful is more trustworthy than the proposed truth. At the end of it all, choices have to be made and lines are needed to be drawn between those that are with exploring and discovering the proper truth and those that are against it. The choice is yours, whether to fight or to surrender. May peace be upon you. The End.

The Nature of Concealing The Truth

The misinformed masses believe in mythical notions that are conveniently compacted into memorable sayings such as “knowledge is power”. It is plausible to have comfort in the fact that knowing more will give you more power but it all stems from knowing the truth. For the truth is the source of knowledge since it is factual, pure and uncompromised, which makes it all that more appealing and intriguing for some to conceal it. We deny offering the truth on a personal scale and on a societal level since we have issues of trust, issues of control and fears that the truth might lead to our demise.

The most common concealment of truth on a personal level stems from fear of the other person’s reaction. Sometimes you don’t want to tell him/her the truth because you want to spare their feelings since the truth could lead them to feeling sore. In a similar instance, you might presume their reaction to be volatile if they did discover the truth or, on the other hand, if you did not anticipate their reaction, you would fear that they might exhibit passive-aggressive behaviour or a violent one. Other times, you would conceal the truth out of cowardice because you feel it isn’t your business to interfere with the ignorance of others and that they will eventually figure out the truth. Such a pompous behaviour would eventually lead to another nature concealment, that of hiding the truth for the sake of power. People will hide the truth from others in order to have an edge or a hold over them and will reserve it for a time when revealing it is to their advantage.

A similar tactic is employed on a societal level where one individual or a group of people will withhold the truth to have power over the masses so that they can control circumstances and dictate events. The groups are usually occults as in secret societies who wish to brainwash the masses with their agenda by feeding them lies and harnessing the truth for themselves. Often or not, these groups, whether occults or governments, feel that the masses are not worthy of the truth based on their presumptions of their intellectual capacity and their associations. Their thinking is based on the fact that they can’t trust those of an inferior intellect and people who do not have the same beliefs. Another reason for concealing the truth is out of fear. They fear the repercussions from society since it could affect them on a personal level and might place their economical and political systems in jeopardy.

If everyone was willing to access the truth to be knowledgeable so that they could be in control of their own destiny then they would find the World a far less comfortable place to live. No one would want to be associated with the liars and concealers nor would they want to indulge in their services. However, as we would have it, people are far more comfortable with the reassuring lie than the inconvenience that the truth bears. They wouldn’t be able to handle the truth since it would involve admitting to themselves that they were living a lie, which would result in them altering their life. Yet, if they get over the betrayal, mankind will feel powerful from a truthful existence, and knowledgeable on how to use it to their advantage. May peace be upon you.

It’s Never Too Late, Except When It Is

The common saying “it’s never too late” is a misleading one for many since there are times when it is in fact too late. Sometimes, it is too late to change who you are, sometimes it is also too late to do something you would like to do, and sometimes it is too late to want something you desperately crave. For the sake of brevity, I will choose three examples which illustrates my point from a personal, social, and religious perspective.

The pop/rock band One Republic said it best, back in 2006, when they released a song, along with producer Timbaland, where the chorus mentioned that it was “too late to apologise”. From a personal perspective, sometimes it is too late to apologise given certain parameters and specifics. There is a window for an apology and it’s highly time-sensitive. Once the window is slammed and painted shut, the apology is invalidated and no longer considered genuine. Granted there are ways to validate an overly late apology but it involves grovelling and demeaning yourself which, in turn, is counterproductive. At some point, it is also to late to have offspring. Even if you find a surrogate who is willing to be the incubator for your offspring, there is a time in your life when you feel it is too late to be a parent even if you would like the opportunity. Rationality sets in based on calculated predictions and you discover that you can’t afford emotionally, physically or monetarily to have a child of your own. Finally once you reach an old age, you will reminisce on the moments of your life and will have the desire to perform a certain activity but you will end up realising that is too late due to biology.

From a social perspective, there will come a time where it is too late for you to represent your country either in a political or sporting sense. Nowadays, the masses want to see someone young and exuding vitality leading their country as opposed to someone who has aged considerably. That was the case for the ‘08 American Presidential election when Obama resoundingly beat McCain even after McCain had a young and attractive running mate in Sarah Palin. The same time-gap would apply to sports as there are very few or any 40+ year olds who are competing professionally in any major sport whether its football, basketball, tennis or motorsports. Additionally, It would be something of a rarity to see someone in their 40s participating in the Olympics or The World Cup, and if they did, they would not likely succeed. In some instance, it is also too late to fight for your country as a soldier or commander. Again, it is related to age where the elderly aren’t expected to be efficient in the battlefield since time and biology have caught up with them. The final social perspective point concerns saving someone before it’s too late. Even If the signs are there, that someone is suicidal or could endanger someone or a group of people, sometimes they are missed and, as a result it becomes too late to save them or those that they injure.

From a religious perspective, there is only one instance where it is profoundly too late. It involves the arrival of the Day where it will be too late to alter your beliefs and change your destiny since your final destination has already been assigned to you. The belief of His existence will finally penetrate your minds and hearts, if it hasn’t already, and you will realise that you should have given more of your time to Him by following His instructions and by praying to Him. You will curse yourselves for disbelieving and will feel the hollowness in your bones signalling to you that it is too late.

Granted there are instances where it is too late but it is never too late to learn something new and to learn from your mistakes so that you may rectify them. Life is learning process and even once you master it, you will still end up discovering based on your explorations or from the exploration of others. At the end of the day, it is your choice how you want to live your life, just make sure you live it your way before it’s too late. May peace be upon you.

The Beautiful State Of The Mind

We have grown accustomed to thinking that a person’s intelligence quotient (IQ) is indicative of his/her ability to perform certain tasks and solve particular problems. Someone with a low IQ is expected to not function as well and reach similar heights as someone with a higher IQ, which is relatively true. The IQ does measure the capacity of intelligence but confidence ranges its capability. Someone who has been repeatedly told by authoritative figures that they are dumb, morons, idiots and the likes are far less likely and willing to get over the stigma and perform to the capacity of their IQ. Through those people’s inculcations, individuals will have great difficulty in overcoming them and succeeding in life since they will carry the notion throughout their lives that they are not as smart as others, which is a complete fallacy.

These inculcations are derived from three sectors of a person’s life from both primary and secondary social agents. The primary agents, the family, is probably where the demeaning of an individual’s intelligence begins. Parental figures and siblings will engage in mocking their targeted person for not possessing the family’s minimum intelligence quota. The insults will begin by suggesting that he/she is “slow” or “not the sharpest knife in the cabinet”. As time passes, they will move on to more direct insults such as constantly referring to them as “dumb” and its varieties. The problem is that the individuals will start to believe that he/she is a dummy and, as a result, will rapidly lose confidence. The burden carries and translates into their performances when they face their the secondary social agents which are schooling and their peers. It’s highly unlikely that they will perform well in school since they are of the belief that they do not merit to be there, which will result in their teachers/professors in notifying them, and then their family, that they are not qualified to be apart of their system. That will result in them losing friends because no one wants to be associated with someone who has been labelled as having lesser mental faculties than the others. If the primary agents would have given the individual confidence, he/she would not have spiralled and be lost in a maze of doubt and ineptitude.

There are ways to gain confidence through deceiving the mind, exercising it and taking it out for a test drive. The most important exercise for your mind is giving your ego a healthy and balanced diet. It is important to not gorge on knowledge and not to overfeed the ego. The setbacks could be damaging to the psyche and you might find yourselves alienated from your family and peers. It is definitely important for your mind to be surrounded by good natured people since they are not inclined to vanity and have a tendency to perform mental exercises which usually results in gaining confidence. Finally, it is important to test your intelligence in any field that you find intriguing, starting from the beginner level to eventually reaching the advanced one and dominating it.

Once you have gained an appropriate amount of confidence, you will be able to test the capability of your intelligence even if the capacity of your intelligence is limited compared to others. The important fact to remember that there are multiple intelligences available. According to Howard Gardner, there are at least eight intelligences which include musical/rhythmic/harmonic, visual/spatial, verbal/linguistic, logical/mathematical, body/kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalistic. He also listed a ninth intelligence which he called existential but all explanations could be found in his book. The point remains that it is vital to be confident about who  you personally are if you are to make use of the intelligence that has been offered to you, no matter how large or small. All of us can contribute, it’s just a matter about being positive enough to make it happen. May peace be upon you.

Busy Is The Polite Way of Saying **** Off

At a certain time in life, everybody is either busy  professionally or domestically since it is considered commendable to face responsibilities diligently. However, the word “busy” is often used as the spark that sets off the flame of lies. People will claim that they are busy with work and will come up with a series of fibs that are unverifiable or they will say they are busy on a domestic front, claiming his/her loved one is ill. Which could be conceivable if they weren’t changing their pictures or commenting on status updates from their social media devices during the time that they were allegedly busy. Somehow, saying you’re busy has replaced the custom of saying “no, thank you” in the 21st century, that is partly due to the enhanced identity we have given the word and partly from a socially conformed psychological disposition.

Often people say they are busy because they truly are busy but sometimes they use the word to tell people that they don’t want to deal with them at this very moment. They will put them on hold, and once they have gathered and composed themselves they will claim that they are “free”. Other times, people will say they are busy to someone because they don’t want to handle their burdens. They are tired of their faces and voices so they do not wish to be involved with that specific person. However, they do not tell them to stop bothering them, they instead say they are busy, with or without an explanation. Another instance when the word busy is misappropriated is when people use it because they want nothing at all to do with the person. Often, this reasoning to employ the word stems from the desire to not hurt a person’s feelings.

However, there is nothing polite about saying your busy when you’re not. The inaccuracy of your situation is in fact insulting to the person who wishes to communicate or interact with you. It is known that everyone shares the same amount of allocated time during a given week so there is no reason for someone to say they are “busy” to spare someone’s feelings. Such an attitude is cowardly since saying you’re busy when you aren’t means you aren’t brave enough to speak the truth. It is also cowardly because you wish to save yourselves from having a potentially awkward conversation. Finally, on top of the insults and the cowardice, it is patronising to think adults can’t handle their feelings, and that you might hurt their feelings if you do muster the courage to tell the truth rather than lie by saying “I’m busy”.

It has happened to everyone, at some point or another, to be completely swamped one day and truly busy from daylight to night-time. The inclination to say that you are busy almost becomes automated to whenever someone proposes an interaction and yet at times, it is premeditated. The problem with concealing the truth by using the word “busy” is that it generates closeted tension which inevitably leads to animosity, which in turn potentially leads to the destruction of your relationships. The remedy is simple but emotionally challenging. It requires you to being open and genuine about the reasons you wish to not interact or be associated with anyone at a given time. If the recipients of your honesty are understanding then they will not push their agenda and will patiently wait for the next window of opportunity. As Socrates would put it “ beware the barrenness of a busy life”. May peace be upon you.

In (…insert belief) We Trust

Throughout the history of time, people have generally not trusted one another, and that’s not due to a lack of effort on their parts nor from an iron clenching stubbornness, but mainly because of the undeniable fact that humans are erroneous. “Human error” is the most commonly known attribute given to mankind when he/she fails in delivering something specific, either from a personal or professional domain. Human error is such a commonality that mankind trusts people to have it and would naturally be suspicious of those that were considered flawless. If some people trust others to have faults then it is likely to imagine that those who constantly commit errors will, at some point, have faith in themselves to succeed in future endeavours since they are aware that everyone is prone to faults. Their faith to perform better is based on the injection of belief from a higher/greater Power or GOD since it has been established that mankind has “human error”.

The errors of people are numerous but the most egregious ones stem from the comfort of lying to one another, cheating each other, and stealing from one another. The foundation of fault stems from the willingness to lie about abilities or capabilities. It is impossible to get away with the lie since at some point there will come a test that will announce your culpability and the damage could be as severe as fatalities including perhaps your own. Cheating is no different in terms of gravity. People cheat to gain an advantage out of life but they do not realise that they are cheating themselves from having an honest life. At the same time, they do not realise that they are cheating others of a rightful gain which, in a way, is practically stealing. People who steal are usually taking away life, materials, innocence and time from people they do not know but can relate to since they are of the same species but of little faith.

The injection of faith is definitely from people but unquestionably drawn from a higher/greater Power or GOD. Depending on your beliefs, the force or power or GOD gives you the faith to stay clear from intoxicants, distractions and other entities that might lead you to lie, cheat and steal. GOD, or the force, or the power wishes for you to have faith in yourselves so that you may believe in yourselves to succeed personally and professionally. Finally, once you find appreciation from the trajectory of your life, the belief of the existence of a being that is of greater intellect and prowess than yours will be undeniable.

We, as earthlings, are prone to errors but make up for our faults by conquering obstacles and overcoming lethal blows to our psyche in order to keep moving forward so that we can see what is next. Along our journey, there is but one companion who is flawless, limitless and all-knowing, someone, something, that has never given up on our species for He believes in us. The only humanistic and rational reaction is to believe in Him and devote time in our day to thank Him for being there and for giving us the belief. It is time that we stop lying to ourselves, cheating our companion and stealing His time before our time expires. May peace be upon you.

To Moron With Love

There will be moments in your life when you will come across people with fewer mental capabilities than your own. They may not possess your intelligible reasoning, your wit or even your appreciation for common sense, but still you will value them. Some will value them because they are earthlings who merit the same liberties as everyone else and deserve to be treated equally. While others believe they should be valued to satisfy their ego and insecurities. In a nutshell, the lesser mentally equipped are valued by the manipulators, yet respected by the empathisers.

This is no secret: everyone wants to be accepted by others, they want to experience comfort and also be entertained, and they also want to be loved. This schema is an ideal platform for people to exploit those who are of a diminished mental capacity. Manipulators have bruised egos and take comfort by surrounding themselves with people of lower IQs than theirs. As long as they are not vulgar or disgusting, the manipulators would welcome them into their hearts as a means to numb their inferiority complex. They are of value to the manipulators because they are not seen as a threat to their ego. The manipulators are amused by them, as if they were their own personal clowns. The manipulators usually laugh at them rather than with them. They do not treat them as their equals since they will always remind them that they are intellectually superior to them. However, there is some educational enlightenment involved when the manipulators decide to teach their “imbeciles” their ways and reward them for their understanding with affection. Even if the affection is conditionally based, the victims of the manipulators are happy to simply be apart of their dynamic.

The empathisers treat their counterparts with inferior intellects differently by showing them respect. They attempt to communicate with them on an equal platform. They give them the confidence to speak their mind and offer all the time that is required to verbalise their thoughts. If in a debate, The empathisers aren’t concerned about thrusting their point down the others’ throats but rather helping them reach the point without condescension. The empathisers treat them as equals and wish to share experiences with them without a pre-determined hierarchy. The empathisers acknowledge that there is a discrepancy but they do not highlight it or boast about. and instead find a way to bridge the gap. All of which, results in affection that is mutual and unconditional.

Among the hundreds of thousands of interactions, we all have been perpetrators or victims of the cycle of “moronicism” at some point of our lives. Some of us play the victim to the manipulators and others are clueless behind the manipulation of the empathisers. When approached and questioned about their tactics, the manipulators are defensive towards their actions and the empathisers are apologetic if their actions were in poor taste. The fundamental fact remains that everyone is valued. There is value and purpose if you are intelligent or not. However, it is important to retain awareness when you find yourself in either end of the mental alley, not to simply identity where you are, but to inevitably learn and evolve from where you were. May peace be upon you.

…And In Death Do We Part

Those of us that are still breathing, assume that our residency on this planet is to experience maximum enjoyment and to fulfil as many desires as possible since the mantra/philosophy of this century happens to be YOLO. Those assumptions are concocted out of falsehood since the instigators of the propaganda behind the saying,“you only live once”, have conveniently ignored the truth of our existence. It is correct that we all live once on this planet but on the Day, which will be announced by the sound of trumpets, we shall be separated as the dead will resurrect and both they and the living will face their eternal judgement and be assigned their final destination.

Those that He has deemed to be the true believers of His existence, the Day of Resurrection and the Hereafter, will be purified and cleansed from their sins on the bridge between Hell and Heaven. Once they have been purified, they will enter Paradise where each is assigned a mansion in the Gardens where the rivers flow with potable water, delicious wine, pure milk and rivers of clarified honey. There will be a vast selection of fruits and enough space for all to reside. There will be no reason to defecate, there will be no reason to relieve yourselves for all bodily secretions have been taken away. This is your reward for belief and action, residency in eternal bliss.

Whereas those who disbelieved, there lies two possible destinations. Of the disbeliever, there are those who have been offered the chance to repent in front of Him, and those who will endure an endless torment. Those that have been given the chance to repent will either be sent to Paradise or they will join the others. The disbelievers who will be assigned to reside in the Fire, will consume boiling water, letting their intestines rot and they will eat the same as would cattle. Their sufferings are personalised, repetitive and endless. They will imagine themselves dying only to repeat the same act of death over and over again. They are no longer offered the chance to repent and enter Paradise. They will curse themselves for disbelieving.

It is impossible to forcefully inject belief into the hearts of those who were sent astray. They will either ignore it or accept it under false pretences, thus turning themselves into hypocrites. Only GOD can send belief your way but it is down to your will to not be tempted by the whispers of Satan. That’s the explanation for how all of us, the believers, the disbelievers and those in between, reside on this planet together, yet in death we will be separated. On the arrival of the Day, only known by the All-Mighty, shall we part from one another and no longer be associated as earthlings. You will only die once and the outcome is that you will either be a dweller of the Fire or a resident of Paradise. May peace be upon you.

Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed

The above heading is a line from ‘Strawberry Fields Forever”, a track from the Beatles, it represents the current mantra for those who understand the lay of the land but chose to be passive. They are aware of the deplorable state of the World and how it has infected the fabric of society with absurdism, yet they are apathetic towards being engaged with change. They close their eyes hoping that they are misunderstanding what they are seeing, but at some point, those eyes have to open. That’s when they notice that it is hard to be someone with all the organised corruption and the sanctioned chaos going on in this World. They shrug their shoulders and figure that, in the end, it will all work out if they stay out of the movement for change and don’t get involved

These passive individuals predominantly use observation, meaning they have some considerable intelligence, which also implies that they are aware. They understand that they are affected by how the scenarios and situations are being played out in the globe. Their choice to do nothing can only mean that they are either lazy and do not wish to veer from the comfort zone of their routine or that they are cowards. They value their peace of mind, their existence and their fantasy lifestyle, which is perfectly normal but it is ridiculous to fathom the relevancy of the entities that they wish to preserve when the things they value the most are constantly under the threat of extinction. For instance, how could someone have peace of mind when an aggressive nation possesses hundreds of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and is under the protection of the United States of America? How can you be secure about your existence when governmental agencies can decide at any moment, for any absurd reason to end your life? How can you enjoy the comforts of your lifestyle when there’s an abundance of famine and poverty in your neighbourhoods?

The answer is to keep the eyes closed, it is easier to continue living since one individual feels helpless and does not trust the credibility of groups. The individual is looking for a just leader that they can follow without guilt or fear that they may wind up being corrupt or crooked. They seek a leader who has the courage to stand up and face the blows, someone who is eloquent but not arrogant, someone who is faithful to the cause and not proud. People in general are looking for a leader to open their eyes to the possibility of an honest World, free from business dictated agendas and inclined towards a more humanitarian one. They are looking for someone or a collective group of people who are willing to do whatever it takes to restore purity and reinstate the values of morality on this planet. Finally, they want someone that will guide them towards an existence and a lifestyle that delivers peace of mind without having to close their eyes.

The masses are a majority being controlled by a minority which is formed of a group of people with the intent on creating chaos through devious or deceptive strategies. The masses are like a newly born baby who are struggling to open their eyes but know full where that they are out of the womb. They will forget the necessity to act and will continue to walk with their eyes looking down on the cracked pavements since it benefits them on an individual level. For if they were to act as a unified entity, they might raise their heads and witness that they are truly the directors of their own fate on this planet and not those wielding their hammer of freneticism and corruption. Once they appoint themselves a leader that is honourable, just and committed to betterment of mankind, they may start to enjoy living with their eyes open again. “Clear eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t lose” (Friday Night Lights). May peace be upon you.

Ah! To Be Young & In Lust

When immersed in the dating pool, we tend to muddle the definition of love and often confuse it with the actual feeling that we are experiencing, which is lust. It is a common occurrence to be fooled since media and entertainment mediums don’t offer an honest interpretation behind the meaning of “real love” since lust is blended into the equation. Perhaps they feel that love alone isn’t as appealing or profitable as lust or maybe they haven’t got a clue as to what “real love” resembles. In order to have an honest understanding, there needs to be a clear definition of the nature, function and outcome of both “pure lust” and “real love”.

The nature of “pure lust” is animalistic and instinctive. The feeling is based on a sudden physical attraction, where the desire is to bump and grind with the acquired target and hopefully sneak away to a place where there is a lock, usually a bathroom, and initiate in coitus. The act of coitus is even considered to be of a  primitive and jungle-like nature, serving the lone purpose of secreting the sexual discharge from either side, usually the male. Prior to the sexual engagement, the information sharing is fluid but barely retained, even first names are either forgotten or mispronounced. Approaching a relationship based on lust means that there’s a short span of interest, given the multitude of other potential suitors, but even if interest is maintained the “relationship” has a rapid expiry date. The function of lust serves as an emotional and sexual release from boredom, stress and loneliness. As a result, the outcome usually leads to heartbreak if there’s miscommunication concerning the intent, or individuals would, over time, experience an inflammation of their stress, loneliness and boredom.

Contrary to lust, “real love” is reserved for the emotionally mature. Individuals who have suffered heartaches from lust and have healed from them are able to maturely keep their emotions in check when interacting with potential companions. All plans, schemes and games are not even cognitively considered since both people are willing to be truthful and bare their soul to each other. “Real love” has an intuitive nature rather than an instinctual  one since the individuals involved rely on the information that each person is sharing, instead of gawking and drooling at their respective bodies. There is a mutual interest in exploring and discovering each other’s mind and soul but at a patient pace as to not overwhelm one another. Also, both people who are anticipating that they experiencing “real love” are fearful that the anvil might drop on their piano concerto since attachment has gripped their hearts and is open for an assault. The function of “real love” serves to nourish both hearts and the outcome of such a feat, clears the confusion in their minds and guides both individuals towards prosperity and, most appropriately, emotional fulfilment.

Of course, there are biological explanations for what causes love and when it occurs, and the same for lust. However, my interpretations on the subject derive from a philosophical perspective based on sociological experiments. Whether you are in love or in lust, there is no blame or glory for either, but it is crucial that you appropriate the proper definition for your relationship. Once you honestly understand the identity of your bond then there is no need for heartbreak or confusion, and you might possibly develop emotional maturity, which would help you decide what it is you wish from your future partners, should you chose to have any. At the end of the day, we all want to find “the one” and when we do secure him/her there isn’t a word that could signify its wonder. As Aristotle once said, “love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies”. May peace, love and unity find you.

The Delicate Balance of Forgiving

Unless you reside alone in an isolated part of the World, one of the choices you are bound to make is whether to forgive someone for their erroneous ways or not. For those that incline towards a primitive disposition of thought, their decision is simple, if they like the person enough they will forgive him/her and if they don’t then they won’t. Whereas, people who are objective in their deliberations would decide if the individuals in question should be forgiven based on a criteria, regardless if they have an affinity for them or not. The criteria assesses the amount of ignorance, anger, impatience and hypocrisy that goes into the acts and demeanour of individuals and if those people are worthy of forgiveness, below is an outline.

Those that should be forgiven are usually the ones that did not know better and could still learn from their mistake. These people are usually young of age, belong to a different culture or their intelligence is exceedingly lower than average. Another reason to offer forgiveness to someone is if they act or behave indecently due to being under the influence of intoxicants or alcoholic beverages. The belief is that people should be forgiven if they were no longer their original selves due to booze or drugs, but again it’s a situation where you are only allowed one slip-up. The next occurrence where forgiveness is offered is when someone commits an offence for the first time which does not involve murder. He/she is let go and forgiven for their lapse in judgment. A final instance where forgiveness is offered is when there’s a “Jack Bauer” situation where the person does something criminal but is forgiven because he/she did it for the benefit of the greater good.

However, if any of those scenarios are repeated, forgiveness is not offered and punishments will be extended. When someone continuously acts or behaves in an ignorant, impetuous, violent and hypocritical manner after they had been warned, then they are not worthy of forgiveness. Another instance when people should not be forgiven is when they commit acts that are beyond the willingness of someone’s heart to offer it, such as carrying out genocide, murdering unsuspecting civilians, using weaponry to obliterate a city and taking away the innocence of a child. A final instance for refusing to offer forgiveness should be when individuals purposely conceal the truth. It is damaging to do so since it is the only thing that allows people to evolve, without it they are walking blindly as a result of ignorance. Hiding the truth from people is pompous and destructive and only adds fuel to the fire that awaits them .

Balancing forgiveness is as delicate as spinning plates on a stick for it affects not only the person that is asking for it but the person that is offering forgiveness. The outcome is a testament to the credibility from the one who forgives, and it is a test of honesty and goodness from the recipient. The passing of the test lies in the willingness to make amends for what has transpired and forge a promise, that if broken will end their life, to never repeat their actions again. Only then can true forgiveness be acknowledged and cemented by both parties. In any case, it is always comforting and rewarding to forgive, as Oscar Wilde put it, “always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much”. May peace be upon you.

Stand Firm, Steer Your Chariot

With all the information being produced, sent and consumed, there’s a veritable struggle to stand firm to our core beliefs. Whether those beliefs happen to be of a devilish nature or an angelic one, individuals are often tested by pressures in their compartmentalised lives. The reason for the testing stems from an urge to pluck out hypocrites, admonish them and eventually banish them from their “circle of trust”. These tests are conducted across four platforms: societal, peer, professional and familial.

Societal tests lead to two forms of pressures resulting in individuals either conforming to the behaviours, attitudes and expectations of a society or rebelling against them. Nowadays, people are being forced to adopt specific ideals which might not necessarily benefit them in terms of their beliefs. Choices have to be made in the shape of former president G.W. Bush’s philosophy of “You’re either with us or against us”. The motto signifies that the masses can either be cowards by lying down and taking the corrupt & unjust policies thrown in their way or they can stand firm and fight for their beliefs even if the battle is weighed heavily against them. The pressure, in this case, derives from making the choice rather than living with the decision.

There are similar pressures when individuals have to deal with their peers, those that are bound generationally. You don’t have to be formal friends with people to decide whether or not you wish to interact with them. The decision you have to make with your peers is if you chose to adhere to the consensus and become like them or if you chose to be your own individual and risk losing companionship. It isn’t a rule that if you chose to be yourself that you will end up being alone. Your thoughts would yours to own even if you are solely in agreement with them. Whereas if you were to agree with the consensus you would belong to a set group of people, your decisions would be made for you and your beliefs would be buried or non-existent. Clearly, if you are being yourself you would follow your own beliefs but doubt will surface in regards to whether those beliefs are righteous and the correct ones to follow.

The next test of beliefs comes from the professional corner of your life. There’s a legitimate pressure to make a decent living by acquiring as much currency as you can so that you can afford the lifestyle that you desire. The dilemma people encounter is how to make an honest account of their acquisition of currency. The choices they face is to either make a lot of money by doing something they don’t like to do with a company that is despised regionally or globally and viewed as unethical, crooked and filthy in the eyes of certain groups in society. Or, the other choice is to remain true to your ethics and passions and make considerably less cash but at least preserving your beliefs. For instance, should Arabs work for companies that endorse and support Zionism? Should American companies hire Arabs despite the animosity and should the “A-Rab” take the job?

The final test has to deal with how individuals coexist their beliefs with those of their families. Let’s assume that family is the utmost importance for individuals and that their beliefs will take a backseat for the sake of preserving unity. These individuals know that there’s a time to comply with the family, a time to go their own way and, eventually, a time to lead. They understand that their beliefs will be heard at a certain juncture in their lives so they will cryogenically freeze their beliefs and melt them when the time is right. On the other other hand, if people place themselves ahead of the family then they will readily abandon them without hesitation because their selfish beliefs are more important than the people who share the same blood.

A life is not worth living if you do not stand firm to your beliefs. Yet, those beliefs are nurtured by the education that society, your peers, your workplace and your family offers you, so it is important to not dismiss them. Once you do acquire some beliefs, it is essential to not veer astray from the path that you have chosen to lead. Be true to yourself and what you stand for, otherwise there’s no rationality in trusting yourself or others in trusting you. May peace be upon you.

Pride is Cocaine For The Sober

You might think that there is nothing wrong or malicious about exhibiting pride and being proud of someone or something you did. You would be correct, there is absolutely nothing socially incorrect about broadcasting your pride and showcasing it. However, it is a highly addictive characteristic which considerably affects your body and mind for a prolonged period of time. Regardless whether you are ‘proud of’ or ‘proud in’, you are ultimately blinded by the actual circumstances and events that surrounds you.

There is a distinction between being proud of your body and having pride in your body yet in both cases the outcome are embarrassing or painful. Being ‘proud of’ your physique implies that you enjoy to model around and entertain those around you with what your body has to offer. This would mean having your shirt off whenever it is considered to be barely, socially acceptable. This type of pride of the body could lead to individuals becoming exhibitionists or working as eye-candy for desperate women who tuck money down their g-string. As a worst case scenario, these men might end up being nudists, prostitutes or sex addicts given their propensity to place the body on top of the hierarchy of things that matter.

On the other hand, being ‘proud in’ your body implies a willingness to fortify and protect it from intruding ailments. Those that are ‘proud in’ would nurture their vessel and keep it running smoothly at full operational capacity but the maintenance soon becomes an obsession. These individuals would want to put their creation to the test by exerting their body to physical tests, be it ones of endurance or tests that measure their fortitude to withstanding pain. Having copious amounts of pride in the body would lead to a string of physical competitions and if the results aren’t favourable it could lead to a person, who is “proud in” his body, to take out a shotgun and brutally murder his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.

In the case of being ‘proud in’ the mind, individuals feed the delusion that they are superior to those around them. They will dominate conversation and turn each dialogue into a monologue corresponding to their truth, whether it is fact or fiction. They will treat others as though their plateau of interactions has been proven to be greater than others and, in their mind, always will be as long as they are around. Their delusional fantasies are heightened when their expectations are not fulfilled. They would overcompensate in an attempt to bury the pain they felt from not acquiring what their intoxicated mind desired. The attachment of pride in the mind can only result in being sequestered in a delusional state and being portrayed as a functioning schizophrenic.

Whereas, someone having ‘pride of’ the mind relates to having pride of their knowledge. Naturally when this is evident, individuals tend to conduct their lives based on presumptions. They will predict the future based on such presumptions not caring if it’s false but rather if they were correct. In the case of an invitation to a social interaction, they can foretell what certain people might end up doing, how it might affect them and decide based on all their presumptions if they will or won’t attend. Those who are also ‘proud of’ their mind implies that they have better judgments than those who are not as intellectually retentive. They will attempt to forcefully guide those that they care about and those around them towards prosperity whether monetarily or in knowledge. These individuals worship their minds so they are naturally pompous, but we are exposed to their vulnerability when their mind does not reach its peak prowess.

Pride is a dangerous drug that is endless in supply and without an expiry date. The body and mind cannot control its effects since the feeling is too irresistible to give up willingly. Some might even say that pride is so potent that it’s impossible to notice  its power, so people consume it as though it were a bottle of cold water on a sweltering day. The fact is we are all guilty of pride. There is no shame in being proud of both our physical and mental achievements but a balance is needed. Finding the middle, the right dosage of pride is never easy nor should it be but that’s what we should aspire to achieve as conscious beings. No longer should we be lazy by not identifying when pride has taken over our system. Let us be proud of controlling our intake of pride. May peace be upon you.

The Distinction Between…Being Educated and Being Enlightened

It is inescapable that, even during prolonged periods of isolation, individuals will seek, receive and retain information. The amount and quality will vary but the philosophical result remains the same, that they are pursuing knowledge even in the slightest of degrees. The same can be said for those that are educated and for the ones that are enlightened in that they each share the desire to be knowledgeable and will do whatever is expected of them to attain it. However, the differences cannot be ignored given that the educated and the enlightened have assumed different identities and approaches resulting in contrasting outcomes, thus creating a vast and important distinction between the two terms.

The identity of the educated is based on the potential acquirement of knowledge from a particular cultural system. Whereas the philosophical identity of the enlightened is based on the truth which is itself free from corruption and unblemished by society. The purity of the truth is certainly more significant than the knowledge being provided by a state or culture since the latter is prone to being biased and might spread misinformation. Furthermore, those who have adopted an enlightened path are up-to-date with the facts and circumstances surrounding important events and influential moments, in contrast to the educated who might have to rely on material that is fraudulent and despairingly delayed.

The reason for such a confined disposition is that the educational system provides controlled knowledge to its pupils  based on the parameters of right and wrong. Which doesn’t sound all that cynical but if those pupils were aware that the enlightened conceived knowledge as bounded by the efforts of exploration and discovery,  they might view parameters as a form of mental imprisonment. The enlightened believe there is no wrong just simply the mental exploration resulting in the discovery for that which is right. The educated will be convinced that certain information cannot be altered and will refuse to entertain hypothetical situations but the enlightened will gladly indulge and will provide an answer even if it is not within the boundaries of the proposed subject.

For instance, the mathematical equation of “1+1” could only equate to one result for the educated but for the enlightened they know that the answer has two results, a mathematical one and a philosophical one. Since they view the equation as someone losing one of their identical items while the other gains it, resulting in the controversial answer that 1+1 = 2 and 0. One person has two 1’s while the other has no more 1’s thus nothing or 0.

The outcome of the results is not as significant as the outcome of the individuals which both sets of knowledge ideologies provide. The educated are raised to be civilised with rules whereas the enlightened are already by definition civil with the one rule, that of respect to all that is created. The educated have expectations that they want to meet, that of the same as the others around them while the enlightened set the expectations for all to follow. Finally, the educated are fearful of the unknown, that which has not been taught to them in their culturally biased system but the enlightened have no fear apart from the radicalism of the educated who wish to condition them to their branch of thinking.

To be educated is definitely necessary for survival since the ideology teaches us the basic skills in order to cope with the dealings of society. Yet, it is clearly an authoritarian practice in terms of delivery and, biased and uncompromising in terms of assessments. However, there is need to be educated, to learn how to think, in order to achieve enlightenment. One propels the birth of the other yet, enlightenment is not accessible and unbeknownst to the masses. It is the duty of educators to clarify to their students that it is possible to acquire a sense of enlightenment and then offer them the choice once they have received an acceptable amount of education. After all, it is your mind to own not theirs, so you have the right to decide whether you wish to remain educated or to chose to be enlightened. May peace be upon you.

Above All Sayings, Patience Is A Necessity

Anyone who has, at one point or another, surrounded themselves with Western educated individuals has probably heard of the saying “patience is a virtue”. However, hardly anyone stresses the necessity for being patient when it comes to production. After all, we all want to produce something whether it’s in the form of speech, writing, audio or visual. We wish to translate our thoughts into a product that is digestible and appreciated by a select group of people or by the masses. Unfortunately when impatience is abound, thought is lost in translation and the idea is rushed to production resulting in the creation of a product that is of quality but not to its full potential or a product that is tragically of an inferior quality.

You may have a brilliant idea and a solid plan to execute it which, if conducted through even the smallest weight of impatience, would result in the creation of a product that is of quality yet lacks longevity. In the long run, the product will decrease in value, eventually becoming just another scrap added to the pile of garbage that’s waiting to be disposed. Of course, it will be a while before your production depreciates but the intent you set out with was to create something that would be immortal in memory, even if it winds being overplayed and overused like the phrase “show me the money”. The reason stems from a lack of patience and an eagerness to produce something during a certain time frame. Critics, whether professional or otherwise, will emerge and overly discuss what could have been done better while praising your attempt and efforts. As a result, your credibility as someone who produces entities or discourses will be questioned but there’s still room for you to make up for it.

Whereas if you produce a product of inferior quality due to a lack of patience, you will attract a lot of animosity from critics and the general public even if they are friends or fans. Inevitably, hatred will be directed at you for wasting time and energy on creating something not worthy of the minimum standards of quality. The cycle ends with people losing trust in you, meaning they might not trust you with any future projects or speeches from your mouth. No one really trusts someone if his/her speech is rushed and without proper thought and no one (unless your gullible) trusts a movie franchise to be as good as the novel series since the films followed one another in quick succession and delivered with ineptitude whereas novels were carefully written and thought out.

These days we are pressured by circumstances and individuals to deliver a product from our creation within a certain time-frame and the appropriate delivery method. The expectant success rate we place on ourselves is no less than 100% which inevitably leads us to failure since we are not machines without fault. Our individual impatience to create and to rush the production does not serve anyone with any joy or pride but rather antagonises our species, creating a hotbed of hostility. If we are patient in thought it will translate to maturity thus quality in speech, writing or whatever you wish to produce until your time expires. Time is an indicator for the position of the Sun and not something you possess, there’s plenty of time to go around but we have to make sure to use it appropriately, without wasting it or rushing it. May peace be upon you.

The Damaging Effects From Lying

As Doctor House would say “everybody lies” .This has never been a secret. Small lies, white lies, big lies, they are all a fabric of modern society. Uttering a lie has become as easy as breathing in the air of our polluted skies. Once caught in the web of lies, the repercussions are damaging and overly highlighted. Everyone who performs a lie is fully aware why they are doing it but they might not realise that they are creating damaging identities and acts associated with lying such as cheating&stealing, the personas of a  hypocrite and the corrupt.

It is known that someone who is comfortable with lying will eventually resort to stealing something whether it is a pack of chewing gum or a luxurious item. This is the case since stealing is the physical act of lying, the thief is lying about his honesty and demonstrates it through the crime of theft. The same would apply to cheating, whether it is insignificant to the outcome of the globe or detrimental to society. Those culpable are not only cheating the fair but they are cheating on their beliefs since they too wish for fairness in this World but are incapable of acting in such a manner due to their inferiority issues.

These acts of cheating and stealing lead towards two identities. The first being the hypocrite where the individual would lie out of self-preservation, entertainment and/or boredom despite the fact they themselves do not wish to be the victims of a lie. The hypocrite develops a compulsion for lying even if there is no need for the lie. It would lead to a point where the hypocrite can no longer distinguish fact from fiction and thus will resort to lying even if it conflicts with their beliefs (that is if they can remember them).

The second identity resulting from lying is that of the corrupt individual. It is certainly easy to become corrupt from a lie since the lie is perpetrated by a small number of people but, unfortunately, affects the majority. The culprits can range from governmental officials who practice in covering up a scandal, taking bribes from undesirables and/or rigging elections, to influential people selling out their beliefs to increase the digits in their bank statements. Not only is it easy to become corrupt but individuals adopt corruption as a natural circumstance given the political, social and economical climate. Once the adoption occurs people would encourage others to initiate in corrupt activities, not as a means to help the others but to ease their guilt, shame and what they have become.

Lying might save your life and you might consider it to be healthy in certain situations such as family gatherings or inquisitions but it is fundamentally detrimental to society since it creates individuals of a mischievous demeanour. One lie can potentially turn someone into a thief or a cheat which would lead them to developing the persona of a hypocrite and/or someone corrupt. No one endorses corruption not even those who are allowed to get away with it but the idea shouldn’t be to eradicate corruption or hypocrisy or thievery or cheating  but to outlaw lying. Granted, something near to impossible to achieve since it is difficult to measure without the use of equipment but if as a global society we strongly emphasize the dangers of lying through an educational blitzkrieg then maybe corruption won’t be as prominent as it is today. May peace be upon you.

The Destructive Gender Movement

Social movements are generally engineered by a group of people to instigate change by either ameliorating a deplorable situation or aiding the oppressed with the aspirations of creating a better tomorrow for themselves. In the case of feminism, the aim of the movement is to establish equality of rights for women across all fields relating to society whether it’s social, cultural political and/or economical. Feminism has over 20 different types of ideologies, movements, sub-types and theories which all have a common philosophy, that they must combat and defeat their oppressors, the men.

In terms of a humanitarian and through the viewpoint of an earthling, feminism is a flawed philosophy and detrimental to the progression of mankind. The Creation of this planet is based on the philosophy of cohabitation and cohesion. One gender cannot be created without the aid of the other, thus both genders are essential for the longevity of their species on this planet. Given this rationale, it is absurd to assume that women are being oppressed by men since they need women to incubate their offspring so that they may either leave their legacy or fulfil their religious obligations.

It is also absurd for there to be a discussion of equality since both genders aren’t equal biologically, yet they are compatible and interdependent. They need one another for social survival, for cultural stimulation and discovery, for political and economical stability. Since survival is the primary objective of most beings, it is safe to presume that the idea of defeating men is a flawed aspect of feminism. Waging a war against those that offer you the chance to experience something that men can never experience, due to biological constraint, is not only selfish but ignorant.

That is to say that men too have been victims of ignorance by mistreating and abusing women, it goes against the principles of being a true human being or a proper earthling. Yet, they weren’t as flagrant as to continue to participate in a movement that is a hindrance to the evolution of our species. Laws of equality have been ratified and fall under the legislation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), thus the feminists’ reasons and excuses for combating men based on a lack of equality are grossly preposterous and inhumane since the enactment of the law in 1948.

It’s clear that there is confusion as to the definition of a feminist given the multitude of types and sub-types but despite the variety there is a consensus on their goals and objectives, that of no longer being oppressed by men and being equal or greater to them. However, it goes against the principles of their movement and it goes against common sense since no human being on Earth wants to or should be a victim of oppression. Since 1948, there was no need to fight for equality since the law dictated that equality was a right for all even though it was not practiced by many. The feminist movement is a destructive one for it lacks rationality and promotes a gender ethos rather than a humanitarian one. The genders are biologically different but dependent of each other, therefore coexistence, camaraderie, respect and love are needed for survival, for prosperity and for longevity. May peace be upon you.

The Differences Between…Terrorists and Terrorisers

We live in a terrifying World where lives could end abruptly from either an explosion in a public transportation vehicle, a governmental building, a financial one, or through over-the-top harassment and bullying. No one can claim that they are completely secure from acts of terror whether they are associated with those being terrorised or are potential victims. For this reason, it seems simpler to label the atrocities committed by people as terrorists rather than explore the possibility that they might be terrorisers. The similarity between the terrorist and the terroriser is that they aggress their targets through violence or intimidation but their identity, philosophy and objectives are completely different.

Terrorists have a political motivation when they decide to conduct their acts of terror whether it’s saving the ecosystem or combating imperialism. Their objectives are for the benefit of a cause that is greater than themselves and their goals are clear whether it is to protect their land or reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Their acts of violence are premeditated and organised, causing as much infrastructural damage and fatalities as possible to highlight the significance of their cause. They are labelled by governments of nations as actors of terrorism and sent directly to illegal detention camps once apprehended.

Whereas terrorisers are labelled by their victims as xenophobic and/or racist culprits; their punishment is either a lengthy ban from their beloved arenas&hotspots and/or minimal prison time. The motivation for a terroriser is derived from social circumstances as opposed to political motivation. From propaganda based fear, the terrorisers conduct their acts of terrorism sporadically once they spot their targets. The violence isn’t planned which signifies that the intentions of the terrorisers are selfish and perpetrated without any legitimate claim or substantial cause.

Baseless and loud retributions are inflicted on the people of this World due to a lack of compromise and open communication from the elite. Terrorism (thou shalt not negotiate with) breeds not just terrorists but terrorisers where the latter is a fallout result from the former and, all of which could have been avoided if power-trips were extinguished. After all, that is the end game for those who commit acts of terror, they wish to demonstrate loudly&closely the breadth of their power since they feel they are victims of oppressors or feel threatened by others. The only way to combat terrorism and its actors is to end corrupt justice, admit that mistakes were made and apologies for those mistakes as to allow the possibility for a brighter tomorrow. The World merits a fresh start. May peace be upon you.

What Does Sex Sell Exactly?

Nowadays it’s no longer a mystery that advertisers and promoters use sexual innuendos to create a traffic of sales or discussion for the product that they are told to sell. The plantation of sex into the sales pitch usually involves the objectifying of a person’s anatomy, usually a woman but sometimes a man, and their interaction with the product. Promoters predict that the masses will digest whatever they are being fed since they believe they are sex-starved individuals and will only respond to their low-quality product if it arouses them either physically or provokes them mentally. If their product was of an acceptable quality by today’s standards, the employment of sex and sexual innuendos wouldn’t be necessary since they would have faith in what they’re attempting to sell. The main reasons for utilizing sex as a tool in advertising and promotion is to avoid the discussion of the product altogether, to promote chatter about the company or individual and to fuel the propaganda that sex sells.

When the intimation of sex is being highlighted throughout a product, individual, program and/or song, it usually signifies that it is of an inferior quality given that it resorts to promoting pornography and, as result, the item being sold is not apart of the discussion. Instead, the sexual acts and innuendos are the main topics being circled around the block whenever the product, program, song or individual is brought up. For instance, no mentions how horrible of a song ‘Wrecking Ball’ is but they do remember the singer swinging naked on a wrecking ball and pretending to give fellatio to a sledgehammer. No one mentions how poor a ‘Game of Thrones’ episode might be since spontaneous nudity and simulated fornication appear in the show.

The discussion about the product is put on layaway to give room for the promotion of the company or the individual. Whether  in the fashion, automobile or beverage industry, a sexually laced advertisement will generate a lot of buzz towards the company and the same applies with individuals when they’re in a subtle or blunt (sex tape) advertisement. A lot of chatter will commence and no one will mention the products the companies and individuals  are endorsing until later, if at all, since the discussion would revolve around the reasons for their decision to launch a sexually provocative advertisement, or to tape themselves having sex and subsequently release it to the public rather than discussing the quality and practicality of their product.

This, in turn, leads to the current inculcation that “sex sells”. Yet, it isn’t selling a product, rather sex is selling the marketability of companies and individuals. Sex promotes the discussion of individuals since it’s believed that people like to talk about sex all the time and it eliminates any immediate discussion about the item that they are selling. Sex is in fact selling sex to people who want to have sex and talk about sex whenever they can. Sex doesn’t sell a song, a show, a hamburger, perfume or a car, it facilitates the selling of a fantasy that you wish to experience constantly through the medium of commodities and entertainment.

People should stop believing in the mantra that “sex sells” since it is misleading and it perpetuates the belief that the cycle of selling sex is the formula that promoters should adhere to comply. There are other approaches individuals can use to sell their product, such as employing humour, using intelligence, adopting fear, directing people to an emotional state that leaves everyone in tears yet hopeful, etc. There are numerous ways to sell something but the overwhelming tactic of utilizing sex as a stimulant to sell products is a lazy, thoughtless cliché that merits to be buried in the hall of misinformation. May peace be upon you.

The Good, The Evil & The Hypocrite

During your finger-painting years up until your clubbing years, you were taught that there were two ends to the spectrum. You were either good or you were evil and everything in between was a result of poor education, lack of retention or poor judgement. Yet these reasons were mere excuses, shielding the fact that the person who swayed from good to evil and back again was, in fact, a certified hypocrite. Such a damaging word could never be employed to describe someone who lacks the sufficient knowledge to understand the difference between right and wrong but once they are old enough to take the decision to snort a line of cocaine and down it with a shot of tequila, that privilege is gone.

Everything tangible and empirical is measured through the standards of credibility. People can trust someone good to exhibit goodness as they can trust someone evil to behave in an evil manner. Yet, no one can trust the hypocrite since its identity has no loyalty to either side of the spectrum. The hypocrite pretends to be good to avoid punishment for an evil deed it committed. Those who are hypocrites are exemplary liars and prolific cheaters since it feeds their identity of a mischief. Their mischievous acts are thoughtless towards others and are for the narcissistic purposes of self-entertainment and self-preservation. Hypocrites could be classified into many categories but I have decided to examine three types, the social hypocrite, the religious hypocrite and the political hypocrite.

In society, the social hypocrite is the most commonly frequented amongst the masses. The hypocrites discourse is filled with the excrement of a bull, their demeanour is of a positive nature although they are themselves feeling the opposite. They would preform good deeds with honest intentions but it wouldn’t last long because their desire to experience the other side of the spectrum takes over. They would blame their evil deeds, the following day, through a lie about their substance intake whether it’s drugs or more commonly alcohol. They might use the childish lie that their alter-ego took over, blaming their actions on some fictitious character that they made up to avoid punishment. They will then say that they are not feeling well and will refuse medication by saying their body is a temple. Yet they will be seen later on, in the evening downing shots and requesting cocaine. The social hypocrite is a foolish individual but relatively harmless if you stay clear from them and isolate them from your surroundings. They won’t provoke harm on a global scale but they are growing in numbers and that is alarming.

There are two types of religious hypocrites. The first type are those that preach but do not practice, someone that pretends to be religious in one country but when he/she jet-sets to a more westernised location, they abandon most of their beliefs and adopt the foreign culture, “when in Rome”. Despite the fact that these religious hypocrites are mischievous, they are not as dangerous as the next type. Due to a stubborn interpretation of their respective religious books, these individuals go to great length to annihilate people based on a misunderstanding. Their exaggerated interpretation leads them to think that they should cause carnage in a land, obliterate certain people based on the rewards that GOD will offer them. For if they interpreted their religious book correctly, they would know that they should not aggress unless they are being aggressed.

The final type of hypocrite is the political one. These individuals will say or do anything to climb the political ladder or to remain in their seat of power. They will betray their own identity for self-preservation, saying one thing and doing the other once elected. The list of examples are seemingly endless but for the sake of brevity, I’ll offer one. The United States of America insist on the policy that they want peace in the Middle-East and that it begins with Israel and Palestine yet they have not delivered on their promise which spans almost a century. In a more broader context, African countries have had to deal with corrupt leaders, Lebanon has to deal with a corrupt and compromised government, the list of political hypocrisy goes on since people in a position of political influence will always forget about working for the benefit of the people and will instead focus their attention on either enlarging their wealth or preserving their spot on the top by fulfilling the demands of the people that allegedly promoted them there.

To conclude, there is something commendable about individuals who are either good or evil since they have an identity that is concrete and acknowledgeable. Whereas the hypocrite is essentially a virus that feeds off of chaos, destruction and aspires to never be caught in the process for their own sick pleasure and/or preservation. These individuals are a hazard to society and detrimental to the cohesion on this planet. They will infect everyone in their vicinity but mostly those that society finds influential. The only solution is to cut off ties and isolate them before the cause further damage to our livelihood. May peace be upon you.

He Thinks Too Much. Such Men Are Dangerous

The heading is from a line in William Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’ where the titled character whispers to Marc Anthony that he believes his trusted advisor and friend, Brutus, might be a threat because he speaks as though he is buried in thought. The fears of Julius Caesar were accurate since Brutus turns against him by contributing to his brutal stabbing. The line, “he thinks too much, such men are dangerous”, could be interpreted as the ruling authority fearing the end of their reign from men who choose to think.

Since people who think start to question, and once the questions lead to answers, the individuals begin to see the actual landscape in front of them and are no longer walking in pitch-dark, tripping over branches. Once they see wants in front of them, they file a vocal request for change because they believe they are entitled to it given the universal laws on offer. Finally, their determined act of change leaves the current “world order” feeling that it’s position is in jeopardy, in danger of collapsing. Shakespeare implies that such a schema is only applicable for a “he” to initiate rather then multiple individuals since, if the masses were unleashed with such a  plan without direction, utter chaos would consume the world.

The World Order is perhaps correct in assuming that it would be dangerous for the masses to think if they were to receive information sensitive to their livelihoods. Instead, the powers that be attempt to instil worry through the personal lives of the masses, whether it’s about worrying to obtain sufficient income, worrying about the threat of a non-lethal disease or even worrying about inconsequential subjects such as love. The reason for this Machiavellian indoctrination is to stop the chain reaction which would lead to anarchy and the emergence of a dystopia on this planet. The people in control of the order on this planet don’t want the masses to think as to avoid them from panicking. Once the panic begins, the masses realise that they do not know how to deal with the information or lies that they have been fed. Their reaction is of a primitive variety where destruction of institutions, capitalist shops and emblems symbolising the World Order’s reign would ensue in a disorganized and diabolic manner. The result is a bleak outcome for everyone involved, nobody wins, in business terms it’s a lose-lose situation.

The situation seems less dyer if we take to heart the meaning of the line, “he thinks too much, such men are dangerous”. For such a man to overthink, will indeed cover all the bases required to make change happen without resorting to violence and bloodshed. Such a man has existed in our time and his name was Mahatma Ghandi. He led his country of India to independence by employing non-violent civil disobedience and he did so with the knowledge he obtained and retained. Such men are dangerous for oppressive regimes since thought and wisdom are the weapons of choice. Such men help and guide their people, the masses to a better World Order and do not intend to harm anyone they lead or direct. Their intentions are just and fuelled by the belief that goodness must triumph over the established evil. Allow one man to think for the betterment of everyone and permit others to listen&judge the credibility of his discourse, will lead to dangerous times for the World Order.

That is not to say that the World Order won’t try to discredit and subsequently diffuse any attempts made by an individual and his followers to overthrow their throne of deceit by attempting to end his/her life, by trying to convince him/her to join the World Order’s side, by attempting to dehumanize and insult his/her reputation. The World Order wants you, the individual, to think no more than the allocated amount they set. They want you to worry instead of thinking of ways to rectify the wrongs on this planet. They want you to believe that thinking is wasteful, wrong and that you should focus your brain power by adhering and conforming to their way of life. The danger lies in the fact that you know that this is happening to you and they made you believe that you are powerless to prevent regression from happening. The only cure, cause, fight worth entering is for the survival of your mind, for it is yours to own and yours to decide what you do with it. To think or to not think, those are your options. May peace be upon you.

What Are Friends For…?!

“People walk around today calling everyone their best friend. The term doesn’t have any real meaning anymore”. That was a quote from the cancelled series Boston Legal where the main character goes on to convince the supporting character, in the same speech, that he is his best friend and that their friendship is based on love. It’s a sentimental and noble notion that friendship could be based on the unconditional love one has for another, but it’s a rarity, especially once you snap back to reality and feed on fistfuls of Mom’s spaghetti. In this age, friendships are formed out of a necessity to survive in the vessel of society and they are used to fulfil narcissistic fantasies and desires. The friends you form will “be there for you” but it’s more out of a capitalist appeal rather than a humanitarian one.

Everyone assumes that people are friends with each because they have similar interests, likes and dislikes and can generally stand to be around with each other. Which is true but the similitude is derived from their common agenda, whether it’s to “party and adopt a libertine ethos” or to “save an aspect of the World” or even to “make money”. In the case of making a profit off of one another, friendships are formed as a societal necessity in order to survive in the capitalistic dominated globe rather than as a want to have ‘X’ amount of friends. The purpose is to form connections and build a network in order to have the keys to open any door you desire; thanks in large part to the “wasta” or favour generated from the friendship. This type of friendship is the most beneficial one in its class and category not only because it is profitable but it has longevity and can be applied for your children and their future offspring. Although this type of friendship may not sound sinister (however cynical it may be), it does lack in authenticity when addressing one another in speech but the plastic and fake feeling in the air can be quickly evaporated with an act of genuine friendship.

“Friendship is a social phenomenon”, a phrase coined by Greek philosopher Aristotle. One of the meanings behind the sentence implies that not having friends suggests a rejection from society, the development of anti-social behaviour and not being capable of having friends. It’s almost become an addiction among people to collect as many people as they can and label them as friends which they then divide them into categories and divisions based on their utility. The reason for this procedure derives from the belief that friends are pawns used in a person’s game of life to enhance his/her lifestyle by alleviating the boredom they are suffering from and/or elevating the entertainment they wish to procure and/or assessing their societal position be it from a career, personal or materialistic perspective. If they aren’t useful within these parameters then they are disposable and expendable either with a silent metaphorical bullet to the heart or a metaphorical axe through the skull.

When it comes down to it, a friend is someone you can trust and confide in, someone you want to be around, be seen with and generally interact in all platforms and occasions. Friendships may serve as an ideal business opportunity or as part of some narcissistic, ego-driven ploy but they should really be about expressing compassion towards one another, being caring, engaged in problems&achievements and protect one another from corruption&hypocrisy. Friends are necessary for survival but if you cannot trust the intentions, motivations and purposes behind their actions then it’s healthier to stay away and cut ties. After all, it’s “how you doin’?” that matters not who you’re doing it with. May peace be upon you.

Future Is Made Of Viral Insanities Distracting The Reality

Everybody loves a  30 to 90 second video clip that opens your mind, that ignites a flame which sparks laughter that’s been hibernating. A video that impresses and one that stresses, that leaves you feeling fortunate and one that awakens your attributes of activism. Then, the decision dons on you to “share” it in various social media platforms hoping that at least someone from your circle approves or feels about the same way as you did, but there’s no real inclination for hope because you know that someone will eventually “share” it too. The process of making a clip go “viral” is based on various psychosocial elements, whether you are the creator or the facilitator, all culminating in a world-wide curtain that distracts you from the realities that are hindering the Globe.

Those who make the intended “viral vid” seek profit or fame but above all recognition off of others misfortunes. They would post a video that is of a mocking nature from an event or whatever is trending, or someone suffering or being tortured or physically abused, whatever really entertains them. They would exploit human beings in any light to report the depravity and to claim the rewards from their exploitation. Those who contribute to the virality of an online video are also seekers of attention and want a piece of the recognition for discovering something that either shocked them or made them “LOL”. Ultimately, they want people in their circle to be aware of events such as the gassing atrocities in Syria, the depravity of two Japanese girls and their cup of fecal matter, the people who fall down or get bumped in the head by something unexpected, the imbecilic nature of people who are incapable of forming a simple sentence in English. The list is endless and is available via a simple keyword search with your favourite search engine. There is nothing wrong with wanting recognition for posting a video for the purposes of cheap entertainment or sententious provocation but the truth winds up being a victim of distortion, reality is shaped by the popular interpretation of a video and the distraction caused by a video blindfolds the public to the real atrocities facing this planet.

While you were reading comments about your or others’ “selfie”, hundreds of falsely incarcerated people at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp  have been denied release without basis and are being tortured by being denied sleep, food, water and abused physically and mentally in a demeaning way that goes against the Geneva Convention of Human Rights. While those illegal acts are happening, the US continues to maintain its interest in the Middle-East by providing militants with chemical weapons to bolster their propaganda campaign. While you were scrolling through some “memes”, you are ignoring the cold but tepid war between Iran and Israel that revolves around Nuclear Weapons. Who’s allowed to produce, who’s not allowed to use them, etc. Finally, let’s not forget to put the Israeli annihilation and abuse plans of Palestinians on hold while you distract yourselves with “twerk vids”.

The issue is abundantly clear, viral videos are a distraction to the objectives earthlings have on this planet which is to preserve our rights as humans and to safeguard the people on this planet from terrorisers and imperialists. Watching these videos over a certain period of time will lead you to develop regressive demeanour and encompass an attitude of permanent “meh”. The solution to prevent it from happening is to be constructive. Work on being productive to end the tyranny that is causing the division of the globe based on the totalitarianism of a couple of countries. There’s a lot of determination and ambition within the majority of the people who post videos with viral aspirations and those who contribute in watching or sharing them but, if we decided as a global community to redirect our ambitions towards establishing justice and preserving peace then that would be something worthy of recognition. May peace be upon you.

Theological Interpretations of Proverbs (Part 3–All Things Must Come To An End)

Geoffrey Chaucer famously coined the proverb in the above heading way back in the 14th century. The anointed “Father of English literature” would be delighted (one would suppose) that his saying is an indispensible fabric in the garment of today’s entertainment industry. Whether “All things must come to an end” appears in the music industry, for instance in song titles by Nelly Furtado, or in Hollywood scripts, that require the input of references dating back to the 1300s due to the absence of quality (Gossip Girl, Pokémon, Star Trek TNG), there’s no question that Chaucer gave birth to a “money-making” proverb that leaves little room for multiple interpretations…Or so we think.

No one can accurately attest to what Chaucer meant when he said or wrote down his proverb. Certainly, it is understood that he implied to every “thing” there is a finality, but no one knows the attribution of the things in question. He could have meant the amount of alcohol available at the dinner table since everyone back then enjoyed their fair share of booze. He could also have meant his plate of food, his fornicating session, his writing, war or peace, love or hate. He could also have meant life, as he probably saw his own or the life of others as a “thing” that came to an end for it is the most precious thing we deem to possess.

From a theological stance, the proverb does imply that your life on this planet will come to an end, that the war between the forces of good and evil will come to an end and  that your doubt about the existence of GOD will come to an end. There will come a point, a specific Day where it will all be revealed and those that disbelieved in His existence will say that they were foolish, they will plead for forgiveness and their cries for mercy will be considered but ultimately rejected. All mockery and jests towards the believers will come to an end, all of the secrecy behind the bearers of evil will come to an end and all will be accounted&settled at the end.

The proverb is a masterpiece that takes into account the essence of finality, the circumstances&consequences of the end as well as offering us the motivation to act as much as we can in the “now”. The present shapes the future of a World we wish to preserve but ultimately, we know it will come to an end. There is no denying the proverbs philosophical prowess, its sociological significance and its theological testimony. At the end of it all, it is up to you to decide how you wish to act, behave and contribute to your life in this World since “all things must come to an end”. May peace be upon you.

Theological Interpretations of Proverbs (Part 2 – There’s No Place Like Home)

It is perhaps one of the most overused sayings employed by the entertainment industry. Whether in shows such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer or the highly addictive series of Lost, “There’s no place like home” is as common and travelled as beef and potatoes. Some dramatic movies made for television or for the “screen” have gone as far as to entitle their film with the proverb. So far a total of five films have decided to use the saying for the title of their movie. Authors Barbara Samuel and Mary Higgins Clark have used the proverb as a title for their respective novels but the most memorable of employments of the proverb came from L.Frank Baum’s The Wizard of OZ. Even in the movie version of his novel, the lead character repeats the saying a minimum of three times before she’s eventually returned back home. However, the proverb originated from a song in the 19th century called “Home! Sweet Home!”, lyrics were written by John Howard Payne. It might be important to understand first the sociological meaning of the saying before interpreting its theological significance.

Quite simply, the proverb intends to mean that wherever someone travels or how much he/she is enjoying their newfound destination, it will never compare to their own abode. It will never compare to their country or city or village. It won’t even compare to their metaphorical home, which could be their favourite bench in a specific park. A shaded spot on a grassy field overlooking a prairie or even at the foot of a tall tree in seclusion from the worries of the World. The fact remains wherever an individual feels most comfortable at or where his or her heart feels at “home” then nothing can be compared to it. “Home” might not even have to be a location. It could mean someone’s favourite food or beverage, after a bite or a sip they are transported to their metaphorical home and their heart is satisfies, even if it is for a  brief moment. Finally, the proverb could be related to a sense of fulfilment such as a sport’s team winning the trophy of their competition after a lengthy season. Ultimately, the saying has a more profound meaning.

From a religious perspective, “there’s no place like home” means that an individual’s final destination could not be conceived with the imagination of their given minds, thus there is nothing like it whether in hell of in paradise. Those who will reside in the Fire will endure a torment that is incomparable to anything previously witnessed fictionally or physically. No one would have experienced the type of torture awaiting them in Hell nor would they be able to anticipate its longevity. Whereas in Paradise, rivers will be flowing through the Gardens where everything you desire would be at your disposal as you live in your assigned mansion. A place that is beyond the scope of any imagination, altered or otherwise. A place that you would finally call home.

It’s evident that the proverb holds a multitude of meanings sociologically, but only conveys one meaning religiously. That home is eternal either in sorrow or in bliss and that we, as earthlings, cannot imagine what either extreme might offer or how it will present itself. There is no place like it and if you are a believer or a disbeliever it will be your residency for eternity since it is indestructible. No longer will you fixate or dwell whether your location is in fact the philosophical home you seek since you will be at peace in the place that will be assigned to you, whether it is one of never ending torment or eternal paradise. May peace be upon you.

Theological Interpretations of Proverbs (Part 1–The One-Eyed Man is King)

Proverbs and sayings are used by individuals to strengthen the meaning that they are attempting to convey or to offer some familiarity to those whom they are addressing. They are often interpreted in a sociological context but little thought is given to their theological, and at times, foreshadowing meaning. No one is particularly concerned about knowing who first coined the proverb/saying or its true meaning as long as it satisfies the person’s purpose once they use it. Yet, one wonders if they are using it correctly and if they understand what they are saying.

The proverb/saying, “in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King”, was coined by a Dutch philosopher/priest/theologian named Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus in the 16th century. Although, others would have you believe that his saying was derived from the Genesis of Rabbah where it is mentioned that “in the street of the blind, the one-eyed man is called the guiding light”. Despite the minor differences in word choice, the sentence still implies that someone with one-eye will guide the blind, be it a King or a “guiding light”.

The Interpretation of Erasmus’ saying in sociological terms could mean that among those with the disadvantaged or disability the one with the mildest disadvantage or disability is regarded as the greatest. It could also mean that someone without much talent or ability is considered greater than those who have no talent or ability. The proverb might also be interpreted as someone with even the slightest bit of vision could guide those who are ignorant or blinded from the truth. Others believe, that it signifies someone having more knowledge over the masses and leading them through the darkness. Whichever way you wish to interpret the saying, it remains loosely explained from a sociological perspective.

However, from a religious perspective, there can be only one plausible interpretation. As highlighted above, the saying suggests that a one-eyed man is King in the land of blind. The one-eyed man refers to al-Dajjal or the Anti-Christ. He will use his sorcery in this World to seduce and impress the blind, in this case the disbelievers. The disbelievers a.k.a. the blind will anoint the Anti-Christ as King of Earth  and they will follow his path towards the destruction of mankind. Those who aren’t blind, the believers, are knowledgeable of what the one-eyed man represents in spite of his magic and false declaration that he is truly GOD. The believers will not follow the One-Eyed man who is King of the Blind for they know in their hearts and in their minds who is the true King of Earth and He is mightier, with a superior intellect and he will vanquish the false King by sending someone to duel against him.

“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King”. Such a powerful proverb coined by a philosopher/theologian back in the 1500s. I would assume he knew what he meant by it when he decided to write it down yet as a society we have mangled its true interpretation. No one is really at fault for the misinterpretation of the saying, but blame should be cast on those who refuse to analyse the saying from a religious perspective since the person who coined it was a priest and he was supposedly referred to it from a religious text from Judaism. Do not let your mind be blinded by the elements of the saying and do not let your heart cover your eyes from its foreshadowing narrative. At the end of it all, it is your decision whether you chose to believe or disbelieve, let us hope it is the former. May peace be upon you.

The Hypocrisy Oath

We live in an age where information is produced by the gazillion and consumed by billions but only one commonality is agreed upon concerning the digesting of the production, that is the information must be truthful. No one wants to receive misinformation or be lied to even if the consequences are disastrously harmful and damaging. Yet, earthlings do lie to each other given certain parameters and specifications. We even fabricated a sub-category of lying, “the White Lie”, to make ourselves feel better about lying on a inferior scale. We lie for self-preservation, for shallow entertainment and to feel superior amongst those around us. It is considered hypocritical from those who exercise their right to lie and yet also want to seek the truth, but even more so they are acting inconsiderately since they are unknowingly contributing to the destruction of a noble society. They are promoting hypocrisy without remorse by wanting the truth and not offering it, since they believe it isn’t a violent crime, when in fact it is detrimental to our cohesion.

It all begins with one of the most popular quotes of the 20th century: “You can’t handle the truth”. Less popular in this century given the emergence of “YOLO” but it still carries a great deal of weight since it is a societal accepted fact that earthlings aren’t capable of dealing with the truth. They are afraid of what the truth might signify and how it might alter the course of their future. The ego is extremely fearful of the truth and it might be displeased if confronted with the truth since it might lead to the shattering of the self-esteem from its summit, leaving the individual with a not so pleasant view of his or her self. The logical sequence of events for the brain is to protect the ego by lying. Not just any type of lie but one that will help it deceive the truth successfully and escape its judgment. Once the individual has gotten a way with the lie, he/she becomes convinced that it is acceptable since no punishment has been cast. Leading to the notion that it is approvable to lie under certain circumstances.

One of the circumstances besides self-preservation is entertainment. The mind needs constant stimulation and if it isn’t receiving any from a particular social setting then it would trigger an individual’s urge to lie. First, it approaches the victims with a test to measure their gullibility, then over time unleashes a series of misinformation to satisfy his/her narcissistic mind simply because they are “bored”. This isn’t just a case of the boy crying wolf but of the man claiming he dines once a week with Chupacabra and Big Foot overviewing the lake where Nessy resides. These individuals who seek entertainment through lying aren’t just bored with life or themselves or have a lack of imagination when it comes to entertainment but lie to gain some form of superiority over their fellow species.

Once they have a catalogue of victims who are susceptible and gullible to their fibs, the hypocrites will invite them into their circle as a means to mock them for their foolishness. Mock them for believing they can trust them with the absurdities that they spew. The hypocrites will revel in uncontrollable laughter at the misery they bring upon their victims with their lies, all to nullify their inferiority complex. Their poor self-esteem counters its disposition and reacts in a fashion that is grandeur than the norm for the purposes of exploiting the welcoming hearts and minds of their species. The hypocrites aren’t concerned about what they are saying as long as the recipient believes and bites on the rod of their lie so that they can reel them in for mockery and feast on their foolishness to give energy to their fragile sense of worth.

None of us can admit that we have never lied at any point in our lives but those who feel remorse towards the act actually attempt to make up for it. An honest apology or asking someone for forgiveness for lying would be the humanistic course to ending the vicious cycle of deceit. Yet, there are those who are consumed with the ethos of deception that they would lie about their apology and continue to act childishly with their method of choice, the lie. Still, we are all the same, wanting to hear the truth from things that concern us and from those who are like us but yet we lie to ourselves when we don’t consider our actions to be hypocritical when we deceive our beliefs. It is time to eradicate the reliable lie, to face the inconvenient truth and it starts from the man or woman in the mirror. May peace be upon you

To Be or To not Be? That! Is The Division.

Due to the politicking and narrow-mindedness of the conventional educational system, there’s a resounding confusion concerning mankind’s definition regarding purpose. We are driven under the assumption that it is important to obtain recognition in order to feel significant, believing that it fills our minds with satisfaction. For we presume that being significant equates with being relevant, but this is far from the case since significance is about attaining and demonstrating a stature while relevancy is about accepting and acquiring a purpose. Our stature, in terms of the expansive Universe, is drastically insignificant given the hundred of billions of galaxies, solar systems and millions of planets with potential inhabitants that we have yet to discover. Therefore, the only viable route in your journey is to discover, acknowledge and complete your purpose in order to achieve relevancy before your time expires.

The pursuit to be relevant is not literally defined but discovered after a period of time through the assimilation of the acquisition of knowledge, the accumulation of experiences and the disassociation of regressive distractions. Simply put, the more you know, the more likely you are to determined what it is you were meant to do. Same with experiences, you would be a better judge at determining what best suits you, and once you are free from the regressive distractions such as jealousy, fame etc. the more assured you would become regarding the decision to pursue your purpose. It would not be a selfish or personal purpose such as being a “social media account brand manager specialist”, whatever that might be, but an altruistic one for the benefit of a superior intellect.

I’ve outlined four (there may be more) relevant purposes in this life, albeit vague but nevertheless applicable. The first one is the guide. He/she is to guide you towards your purpose and enlighten you along the way to fulfil your destined purpose. They seek knowledge and interpret it but hardly ever boast or show-off since it is not their nature to do so, yet are adamant about the truth that they speak and pray that you follow their guidance. The next one is the protector. He/she will shield you from those who are jealous&envious and they prevent depravity from infiltrating your path. They are strong willed and determined to shelter those who are on a righteous and purposeful path. Next, are the nurturers. They feed people in both substance and knowledge which they cultivate from what is on offer to them. The food that they offer is filled with love and the knowledge they transmit is of the utmost truth, without them there would be no nourishment in mind and in heart. The final ones are the accountants. They take into account the progress of the path to make sure everything is running smoothly and make notes about the actions and deliberations made by those on their journey. Without them there would be no one to debate whether or not one is following the path correctly.

We are, thankfully, not perfect beings nor are we significant but our existence is relevant on this planet. We were not created as a mockery or for sport but created for a purpose which should not be wasted on competing against one another or duelling one another for the sake of money, territory or pride. There is a reason why mankind was created and it’s time that we fulfilled our destiny by discovering then accomplishing our purpose. May peace be upon you.

A Disease Named Desire & A Victim Called Intuition

Given the irrational belief that mankind is entitled to freedoms, it drives our species to the conclusion that the decisions we make are derived from our own personal deliberations. When in fact, the mind is shackled by the waging of war between desire and intuition, both striving for the role of conductor behind the steering wheel of our frontal lobe. It is a common misconstruction to blend the two together, the thought that our intuition leads us to having a desire or that our acquisition of a desire results from the interpretation of our intuition. Since, the distinction lies in the fact that desire is a fabricated, animalistic urge developed by society and manipulated by peer pressure whereas intuition is formed through cognition, residing in the soul where it interprets action through the processing of historical experiences, either general or personal. As complicated as it may sound in your head, the distinction is important to highlight since either of these forces shapes the dominating part of our identity whether it is through our experiences, our accomplishments or our notifications.

The decision regarding our method of experiencing life depends on the reliance of a path. Some of us rely on our intuition to guide us through the journey, listening to our soul to figure out what is best for us at a given moment in time. Relying on that “gut feeling” even though it might need tweaking if the results aren’t favourable. Being brave enough to resist the temptation to submit to a desire that is known to be poisonous to the mind, body and soul. However, most of us succumb to the call of our desire and indulge in taking that extra piece or slice, smoking, snorting or even drinking a little more than usual just so we reach our desired state of mind. The probable reason for adopting desire as the driver behind the cognitive vessel falls under the cliché acronym “YOLO”. The childish belief that “you only live once” is an excuse to allow desire to sedate intuition and to treat existence in a libertine manner.

Another instance where intuition is trampled by desire is when human beings wish to accomplish societal duties despite the fact that they may be contrary to an individual’s beliefs. The most outstanding example is marriage. The divorce rates alone will indicate to you that not everyone is suppose to be married but the desire to fulfil some delusional childhood dream or to prove that you belong in society by having the wife, the kids, in the little box on the hillside, trumps listening to intuition. Those who followed their desire, in this case, are left with remorseful feelings culminating in anger and self-doubt when it could have all been avoided if they allowed their intuition to enter the fray of their decision-making. Intuition doesn’t prevent people from accomplishing tasks set by society, instead it improves the success rate of the tasks they wish to embark on.

A final and brief example of the distinction between desire and intuition concerns our need to notify people. The desire to submit notifications to the World about the type of food we are eating, the location where we purchased a commodity, the update of a status that is as futile as kumquat pie, all for the sake of building our self-esteem and enhancing our relevancy when it’s entirely insignificant in the scheme of the Universe. Which is exactly what your intuition would inform you since the World is too preoccupied to entertain and care about your specific existence. Yet, we indulge and it makes the hollowness dissipate.

We listen to our desires because they are entertaining, satisfying and give us the illusion that we belong except the sentiments of desire are manufactured, birthed by deception and take us on a whirlwind ride where we end up frustrated and despondent. We do not always listen to our intuition since we know it isn’t completely accurate all the time but we should since it is naturally produced, unaltered and is apart of us. If we rely on desire, something that is deceptively fabricated by society and refrain from relying on intuition then it is as though we are submitting a resignation, surrendering our soul to a fake, plastic existence. May peace be upon you.

The False Accreditation of The Grey Movement

From a sociological perspective, people are consumed with the delusion that adopting a “grey” attitude towards life is noble, admirable and shows a great deal of maturity since they believe that they are being fair and wise in their deliberations. When in fact, they are hindering the advancement of society by opting to be metaphorically grey as opposed to picking a colour from either side of the spectrum. In terms of competition, no one is rooting for a draw but demanding for a winner to be declared. In terms of beliefs, no one would trust someone who shifts back and forth from good to evil since they will be judged as hypocrites in the eyes of the rational. Finally, when it comes to making a decision and there’s a stalemate some people like to flip a coin hoping they will land either Heads or Tails, there is no “Elbow” or Grey area. The members of the Grey movement will attempt to recruit those who have a bipolar perception (Black or White) of the World by moralising that their “colour” is the correct one to adopt. Yet, they have been tragically misinformed or they are purposely attempting to corrupt mankind.

From an individuality perspective, one of the problems with adopting a “grey” attitude in life is that it triggers an invitation to place the self in an existential limbo. The identity that is attempting to be formed is halted, as though an arrest in development or a suspension in formation of the self has occurred, since the spirit and soul isn’t sure where the mind is headed with all the contradictory decisions or the lack of an effective decision. Another problem by following the “grey” is the emergence of preposterous ideas and/or thoughts from the pretention of an individual’s ego. Where false idols and new “religions” appear from believing in the “grey”, giving birth to fabrications such as Scientology or the worshiping of a wild animal that has an unorthodox colour. A final problem for dwelling in the “grey” is that individuals would be attributed for being untrustworthy since their beliefs would be scrutinised and devalued given the lack of consistency shown in its application.

The individuals who belong to this movement fall under three categories and none of them are flattering. The first type of “greys” are those who are cowards. They prefer to not take a side or have a determinative opinion since they do not want to upset the people around them or anyone that is associated with them. They are generally followers and not trend-setters or leaders and enjoy the calm and quiet lifestyle that isn’t truly theirs since they can’t take a side. The next category of “greys” are those who are indecisive but prepared to make a decision, yet they can’t follow through because they are ignorant. They flip from one side to the other not knowing the optimal decision for them to take, so they decide to remain in limbo until someone resolute comes along to rescue them. The final type of the “greys” are the spoiled individuals who want the best that both sides have to offer. They are used to having things their way and despise losing out or losing in general. These greedy and superficial “greys” have no sense of loyalty and will manipulate their way through anyone or anything to achieve what they want which is the consumption of everything that is libertine.

It is evident that the “grey movement” has frequented our passing more than we would like and that its nature is destructive in evolutionary terms but all is not lost. The solution for tackling the “greys” is to be informed. Acquire enough knowledge so you may form your own opinions and eventually pick a side. It is important to be a consistent practitioner of your newfound allegiance once you do decide on your metaphorical colour. If you decide to pick the metaphorical colour of good then perform good deeds, if you decide to conceal the truth and behave mischievously then accept the colours of evil. To be true to one’s self is to act what is true about yourself but to linger and float from one end of the spectrum to the other as you reside in the middle is the pinnacle of hypocrisy. Pick a colour as long as it isn’t “grey”. May peace be upon you.

Regressive Distractions (Part 3 – Patriotism)

The waving of a nation’s flag while the national anthem is being played would stir the emotions of anyone associated with its colours, emblematic features and hymn. It’s a natural response to be committed to the cause of your country regardless if there’s an imperative order to wage war against other inhabitants of this planet. Despite the rational notion that the preservation of the planet is technically far more important than protecting the borders, ideology and integrity of a nation, since without a planet the existence of a country is redundant. Which begs the pondering of the necessity to assume a patriotic attitude towards a flag and a catchy tune that indicates the land borders of a territory which are assigned to a particular group of people. Instead of a back-and-forth contemplation, surely it can be agreed upon that without the attributes of planet Earth, there would be no livelihood to cultivate and maintain. Therefore, before we call ourselves by the name of our assigned land, we must remember to refer to ourselves as Earthlings. For if we forgo our foundational identity, we will continue to be involved in battles and wars against each other, all in the name of patriotism.

It is first important to understand how patriotism is instilled and employed. Patriotism is used as a device by the rulers (elected or otherwise) of a territory to label and bolster a cultural identity. The plan is to elevate the stature of the cultural identity in the hopes of aggrandizing the state. The citizens of the nation accept the contract of the state that stipulates in invisible ink that they will be rewarded if the country succeeds and they will suffer if it doesn’t. Naturally, no one wants to linger in ruin so the obvious course of action would be to obediently serve the marked territory. Defending it with time and blood, nursing it back to health with time and energy and expanding its borders with more time, blood and energy. Through repetition of the expense of time, energy and blood, one becomes convinced that it is a sacred belief that one should be a patriot for his assigned space, as opposed to believing he/she is a citizen of the planet and that they should be devoted to Earth.

Once patriotic values for the country have been solidified through the inculcations of propaganda, the concept of Lebensraum, colonization and/or imperialism come into play. With calculated injections of their ideology and their citizens unflinching patriotic loyalty, Nazi Germany, The British Empire and The United States of America have, at one point or another, successfully conquered other territories whether it was for “expansion of living space for the superior race”, to expand the might of an elitist ruler(s) or to “liberate” citizens from their rulers who endorse non-democratic values. It’s clear these reasons are not only narcissistic and demeaning to the intellect but they’re ultimately degrading the value of their fellow human being. Utilizing their steroid infused cultural identity to annex the identities of lesser influential nations is abrasive if not demonic, yet it appears to be permissible if their patriotism is superior.

The idea of patriotism is admirable and noble but it has been sorely misappropriated throughout the existence of mankind. On this planet, there is no logical ownership of land since it has not been created by its inhabitants, unless it was manufactured by Dubai. But the fact remains that no human being has created Earth. We have accepted our fate in terms of the destination of our habitation and confinement. We have accepted border lines but these lines should be patrolled by “The United Borders of Earth Patrol”. Where earthlings would keep their borders and would also be in agreement concerning an ideology, to avoid the destruction of another nation (Palestine), the genocide of its citizens (Insert African Country) and to prevent a nation to annex another country (Israel, to name one).It probably sounds ideal but so is the concoction that is the United Nations. The unfiltered truth remains there are no distinctions between earthlings apart from language and genetic disposition, there’s only the fabrication of poorly employed patriotism that is hindering the rate of our evolutionary path. We have to accept our foundational identity if we are to forgive ourselves from our unforgettable history so that we may move on for the betterment of mankind. May peace be upon you.

Regressive Distractions (Part 2 – Fame&Fortune)

I was approached by someone recently to stop publishing my writings on this blog since he believed “people don’t care about long boring posts” such as mine. He did offer two options to the presumed problem. He said I could keep writing and going nowhere with my current audience or “make it kick ass and mass friendly”. He came up with an idea similar to The Ricky Gervais Show except with a  “serious” tone and then wrapped up the pitch by concluding that if I went through with his proposal, I would “make philosophy cool again”. “You can thank me when you win awards” was his final statement, albeit arrogant and presumptuous, but he did make a valid point. The credibility of an identity is associated with the amount of fame and fortune accumulated and almost everyone is guilty of attempting to achieve it and, if ordered, by any means necessary. The problem with the pursuit and the subsequent accomplishment causes the individual to disassociate themselves with humanity.

The most obvious consequence of attaining fame&fortune is the transformation of identity. Individuals will alter their appearances and beliefs for a waterfall of currency and an everlasting spotlight. The attraction to be rich&famous could be appealing to the ego, enhancing the thought of being superior to their fellow species.Such as, wearing extravagant clothing or jewellery items to illustrate their wealth even though it isn’t necessary to sport them. I doubt there is a need for “bling” except if it is to satisfy the evil ego or to render people jealous about how much currency they can throw away without having it affect them. The role of plastic surgery also serves as an energy chamber to keep the popular shining brightly in the eyes of the masses. Perpetrating the illusion, that to achieve fame is to achieve perfection and the reward is all the gold you can imagine. At least, that’s the consensus among celebrities and everyone else who wants to reach it. An individual would also alter their beliefs if it meant being famous, even if only for a brief time. I highly doubt that Tom Cruise and John Travolta were raised scientologists before they reached fame or that growing up Gwyneth Paltrow wanted to name her first born after a biblical fruit, but I might be wrong. Regardless, being famous changes what you used to believe in because the logic dictates that past beliefs did not bring in the materialistic offerings of money and fame, as opposed to the newly acquired ones.

Another reason behind the appeal of being popular and rich is that it can offer a false sense of comfort and serenity. The illusion that hardships would be less frequent and easier to deal with blinds those infected to the fact that it opens the door for behavioural modification. The ethics of an individual and their character changes drastically and it is visible from the way they act. From a social media standpoint, people would post something to provoke the masses even if the post does not reflect who they are, such as a murder, a rapist or profanity endorser. Their desire for fame tumps their requirement to be a better member of the earthling species. Also, there are celebrities who wish to gain media attention by performing demonic, offensive and demeaning acts to reach a new level of stardom. If criticised, they would justify their behaviour by saying it is character they are portraying and not really them. Whatever the case may be, they have chosen to abandon their self for the irrelevancy of popularity to claim the prospect of cash.

It seems we, as an earthling species, have been misguided by the illusionary allure that is fame and fortune since it does nothing but contort our identity and disfigure our behaviour. Living on this planet should be about being an “earthling”, striving and working together to ameliorate our species by not abandoning our essential goodness. Where wealth is measured by the integrity of the character and where behaviour towards living things is met with unconditional respect regardless of the account statement or the number of “likes”. If we continue in our selfish pursuit of attempting to become rich and famous, we will end up neglecting our true purpose which is to be enlightened, to garner strength from our collective wisdom so that we might be genuinely proud of our species before time expires on this planet. May peace be upon you.

Regressive Distractions (Part 1 – Jealousy&Envy)

A falsehood that has been discussed and debated at length is whether jealousy is healthy or unhealthy. Magazines for the socialites will go at great lengths to conduct surveys, draw up polls and perform random sampling interviews to uncover the public’s reaction and attitudes towards jealousy. They end up discovering that some believe jealousy&envy to be for the most part unhealthy while others would consider it to be healthy for a relationship or ownership of a commodity. The stalemate allows the debate to be stretched and publicised seasonally, when in fact it should not even be a contemplative issue in the forefront of anyone’s mind since it is a symptom of mental immaturity, hindering the progression of mankind and regressing identities to a primitive state.

It all begins through an individual’s insertion of jealousy into the minds of their colleagues or friends. Showing off and boasting about their latest gadget, tickets to a concert or their latest sexcapade, just to name a few. The insertion is deliberate and methodically introduced with impeccable timing and slogan-based statements with an accompanying in-depth advertisement of their latest triumph, be it “by gold or by sword”. The feeling of jealousy consumes the targets either during “the insertion”,a few moments after the culprit vacates their area or it might never perturb their minds. The intent displayed by the provocateur was to plant the seed of envy so that he/she may water it later along the course of the week, month, and, if they are dedicated psychopaths, throughout the year. The point is to bolster one’s self-esteem but also to create disharmony in the fabrics of the fragile mind, but jealousy also could occur even if there is no traditional contact made between the parties.

A person might be envious of a celebrity figure since he/she feels that he/she does not deserve the fortune, fame and luck when his or hers has run out. The jealous party would treat that person with contempt or consider them to be of an inferior being morally/ethically or even launch a campaign of hate against them to discredit their value. Jealousy develops into hatred and the consequences for the target of envy are either harassment, abuse or death. The overwhelming power of the jealous mind causes the identity to succumb to urges that are inhumane, demonic and irrevocable.

Another reason for jealousy to consume people would be the belief or misconception that there is an entitlement to equal ownership be it from a commodity or a feeling. Someone could believe that since there are no distinctive differences between their friends or family that they should have what the other person is receiving. Similitude in affection, validation, goods, and resources. When the need isn’t met, there is an uncontrollable urge through the force of envy to cause damage. Whether it is property or in relationships. Again the consequences are bestial, diabolical and inconsiderate given that the feeling of being human is loss since the inflictor of chaos believes that he/she is being treated like a doormat.

A final reason for the development of jealousy in someone’s heart and spirit, could be that they view the affection, validation, goods and resources that they are receiving to be of an inferior quality and/or quantity to their counterparts. Once this belief settles in, automatically an inferiority complex consumes the person, rendering the victim of jealousy to feel insecure. The retaliation might be catastrophic or it might be passive and damaging towards themselves. It is an unpredictable silent killer.

If we come to grips with our reality, that we are human beings with the accessibility to the same feelings, all residing on same planet, consuming from it and wishing to live in peace; then it is fair to admit that jealousy&envy are not necessary. For if we properly define our separate but equally great ownerships in commodities and social feelings then there is no need for the force, power and development of jealousy to consume our identities. Time is needed to properly define ownership for us to evolve and be enlightened. Once we accept it, the self shall be set free from the want to insert envy and to feel it. May peace be upon you.

The Inflated Arrogance of the Ignorant Mind

In the era of network connectivity, no one is secure from the threat of falling into the trap of a debate that masks itself as a conversation. The nature of the interaction is conducted by the egos of those involved and dictated by their swollen arrogance pumping, like a rapid heartbeat, from the cortex of their ignorant minds. A simple statement or comment based on satisfying the ego could be viewed as “arrogant” by the receiver, who in turn would view the messenger’s credibility as being associated with one of an ignoramus. Such a pattern leads to the introduction of false beliefs shared by either party, the metamorphosis of their identities, culminating in detrimental decisions that deter the quintessential purpose of a conversation: enlightenment. I will attempt to demonstrate the gravity of our current communicative malaise by illustrating the destructive nature of arrogance based speech through examples from one end of the spectrum to the other, attempting to hopefully provide a plausible remedy.

The most frequent pitfall when communicating with someone is not the meaning or rate with which a message is delivered but the adopted attitude. The prevalent attitude associated with people who initiate a conversation is that they believe they are speaking a solemn, undeniable truth. They will defend their words, sentiments or meanings that flow from their mouths as though they are guarding their honour, when in fact they could simply admit to their egos that “they might be wrong”. Instead, they indulge their ego, creating a false belief in their statement regardless if it is correct since the receiver acquiring the message would either feel doubtful, sceptical or battle the ego. An example on the social end of the spectrum would be when two friends are conversing. Both of them exchange sentences trying to prove the other one wrong over a matter which is inconsequential. They would talk loudly at first, then begin to yell their point across and finally throw insults at each other, all the while not understanding the point behind the conversation. Leaving them feeling dim-witted, angry and vengeful, denying themselves to feel enlightened. On the other end of the spectrum, I would refer you to the egos of the Southern neighbours of Canada and their arrogant laced speeches concerning states that deter their quest for World Supremacy. Their intent is to illicit a reaction from their adversaries through a series of statements riddled with falsehood aimed at provoking the receivers. Giving the World the impression that their identity/ideology isn’t what was advertised on their emblematic crests and national anthem.

Which brings me to my next point, that arrogance in speech could lead to a metamorphosis of identity whether it is for a brief period or an extended one. Given that the ego is in charge of how the messenger is communicating in that state of arrogance, it is conceivable to imagine that the person’s identity is temporarily absent or sedated from the self. For example, an individual known for being good by nature & pleasant to be around, could suddenly turn angry and defensive over the message being conveyed in the “conversation”. The recipient might find this shift in character to be unwarranted and inexplicable but they would counter the reaction they witnessed with a counter-blow. One that is louder, ferocious and more powerful. Now, both members of the conversation have altered their identities thanks to the ego’s will to fuel the conversation based on arrogant foundations. On the political spectrum, you can imagine any democratic country that has a bi-partisan make-up and follow their political initiatives throughout their history when each party was in power. The identity of an entire nation would change based on who’s speeches, statements and overall performances in debates influenced the masses despite the perpetual bashing, slandering, demeaning and judging either political candidate performed. Of course, there’s the classic arrogant quote “If you’re not with us, you’re against us” dubbed by “Dubbya” where he literally asks people and countries to change their beliefs and who/what they are based on the promise and fear that they will be isolated should they refuse to conform.

It was of course their decision but one based on ignorance. People who seek to intentionally manipulate a conversation with their ego are undoubtedly arrogant and devious but also blatantly obvious for those who trust their intuition. Unfortunately, it is a psychological happenstance that we lose ourselves when we ignore the power of the ego and its maniacal nature. The feeling it presents might be powerful and fulfilling but it’s ultimately detrimental towards the evolutionary purpose of mankind. It hinders progression by causing us to make irrational and unacceptable decisions. I refer you to the carnage and savagery associated with our World history and how leaders of either a political or religious background have listened to their egos to annihilate the progression of mankind. If a person or a collective group of people decide to inject arrogance in their speech, they know that a more prominent retribution is looming. Yet, this pattern of communication and action only leads to disputes and paves the way for “neandethalic” behaviour for future generations. But all is not lost.

There are a couple of ways to dismantle the ego and evaporate the arrogance from the conversation. When you are faced in a situation where you feel the ego has taken control, ignore the statement and move on. It does not seem like an ideal solution since the ego seeks attention and will do its utmost to gain a response but remain persistent and have the will power to ignore and move on. An alternative solution which is far more affective in the longer run is the adoption of objectivity. Become and learn to be objective when discussing with the arrogance of the ignorant mind. Discuss both sides, present the facts that were offered and allow the bearer of the ego to agree to the proposed solution. Those are just a couple of non-violent ways to diffuse the impending explosion but that doesn’t imply that the ego and its weapon of arrogance are forever imprisoned. Taming the ego is a discipline that mankind has chosen to ignore for it gives us pleasure to express it yet it doesn’t mean that we should be forgiven and let off the plank. If you truly want to be free then fight the enemy whirling in your mind not the person expressing their arrogance due to their ignorance for they are prisoners too, albeit aloof. May peace be upon you.

Philosophical Distinctions (Part 3 –Truth vs.Truthful)

For the last part of this segment on philosophical distinctions, I have decided to explore the obvious differences between two words that are considered by many to be extremely similar. They would argue that the only difference lies within the appropriation, one is an entity and the other is the vessel to express that entity. An argument that I would not reject but it remains lazy to attribute definitions that only cover the aforementioned distinction. To excavate the deception, I will explore the identity, the sequential acts and the consequences of the perception of “truth” and how the “truthful” are perceived.

The perception of the identity of “truth” is that it’s immune to falsehood and viewed as a cure for deception. It’s usually determined by the majority and challenged by the minority. The desire to challenge the established and ordained “truth” stems from the implication that the “truth” released by the majority has manufactured elements and that those who preach it are still portraying it as free from fabrication, implying that it’s pure. the challenging of the “truth” could also be exercised when it is used as a tool or weapon for dictatorships or to amass a large following in order to brainwash them. Inevitably,  the “truth” is susceptible to manipulation once discovered. The reason being that mankind can’t resist the urge to preach it loudly and theatrically as they inculcate the masses with the aid of their propaganda devices. In turn, the effect causes the essence of the truth to be devalued. As soon as the “truth” loses its value, there is little hope for trust in its bearers and doubt is cast on the “truthful”.

The “truthful” are perceived to be incorruptible, virtuous and do not tolerate the slightest falsehood in discourse. They would remain honest and trustworthy despite the pain, torment and panic it might cause a person, a group of people or the entire population of planet Earth. Truthfulness is instilled through the exercise of faith or an unyielding belief in being ethically and morally sound. Those who have acquired it would deliver the message without arrogance or ignorance and encourage their fellow species to betray their desires of fibbing to seek the untainted “truth”. Also, they wouldn’t advertise or bully in a loud and vicious manner to attach credibility to their claim of honesty, instead they have faith in the impact of their tone and words. They know it would resonate the “truth” in its purest form causing adversaries of their movement to be alarmed and fearful of their altruistic power. Unfortunately, the “truthful” have to persistently prove their legitimacy of truthfulness to the disbelievers since their hearts have been corrupted by terrorisers who distort the “truth”.

At the end of the day, it all depends on how the truth is treated since it is interdependent on how we perceive the truthful. To increase the population/percentage of the trustworthy, it is crucial that the truth should be protected from those who wish to manipulate it for monetary gain, influential prowess and control over the people. On this planet, it is becoming increasingly troublesome to find individuals who wish to be honest since the fear of persecution from people, agencies or governments, and the allure of fame, fortune and power supersedes the right to speak the truth. A chain reaction of lies is far more reassuring than dealing with the inconvenience of the truth but it’s foolish to believe that it should be the case.

In summary of the three-part series on exposing a facet of the truth about the misinformation of words, it is evident that as a species we need to exercise the mind when it comes to the utilisation of words and its symbolism. Rather than comforting ourselves with the already “defined” terms and simply reacting to it, perhaps it might be vital to challenge the meaning behind the representation of the definition through elaborate thinking. For if we begin to understand that we have been deceived by words, who knows what other deceptions are lurking around the corner. May peace be upon you.

Philosophical Distinctions (Part 2– Justice vs. Just)

If you decided someday to go “old-school” and use an actual, physical dictionary, as opposed to the online replica, you would be amazed and maybe slightly repelled (or amused) by the laziness with which the authors define nouns and their respective adjectives. Not only do they copy and paste the noun’s definition onto its adjective but they mislead you into believing that they reflect a similar meaning, when in fact there’s a gaping discrepancy in a philosophical sense. I will attempt to demonstrate the differences between the words I’ve proposed, in the heading, by discussing the nature of the word, its underlying objective&function and revealing its association on the spectrum of good and evil.

Before discussing the nature of the word, I feel it’s necessary to mention their philosophical identity. The term “justice” belongs to a branch of a given nation’s ideology, sought after by individuals who believe they are being deprived of their supposed just nature. The word “just” pertains to the identity of an individual and is desired by other individuals who wish to seek justice from a wrongdoer. In a sentence, one is an ideology with multiple, manufactured identities, the other is a natural identity with a singular intention.

The nature of “justice” is based on an agenda, usually a socio-political one, where despite the attempts of an individual’s echoing hymns of truth and relevance, the verdict might be viewed as unjust. That’s partly due to the fact that the verdicts are based on the archaic worshiping of laws that belong to a country’s ideological preset, as opposed to employing common sense as a measure for judging. It is also due to the fact that the system of justice opens its barrier for manipulation. Individuals are relentless when it comes to proving to a set number of completely random people or to a politically appointed individual that the person they are representing is not guilty or justly deserving (whether they believe it or not). There are an ample amount of manipulative tactics and devious manoeuvres employed by people who are entrusted by their clients to prove their righteousness in “the eyes of justice” and it’s generally accepted and deemed legal. As a result, the objective and function of the word “justice” could be viewed as creating disharmony for mankind through negligence of omitting the just. Wielding its ironclad power over humanity and dictating the livelihood of their fellow man.

On the other hand, the nature of the term “just” is based on objectivity and is free from socio-political agendas and threats. Considering that its nature is objective, it would be fair to assume that when it carries out justice it does not require to prove its judgement since it has been established that the authority (judge) is just. The verdict is assessed based on common sense and the evidence presented at the time. Also given its ethos, those who are “just” cannot be manipulated therefore it would be sensible to imagine their objectives and functions would be altruistic. Promoting civility and trust from the chaos that was brought forth. Enlightening the confused and the doubtful, spurring a domino effect of thought and reason for mankind to adopt. Finally, it provides the evocation of the feeling that inflicting damage and wrongdoing shouldn’t be applied no matter the amount of distress and depravity infecting the mind and soul.

It’s clear that each term is different by nature and objective yet the dictionary would have you believe otherwise. It isn’t fair to say what has to be followed and what needs to be adopted in order to provide justness to victims but it’s obvious that the identity (the being) is more trustworthy than a concocted system aimed at patronising the just. I am not expressing a desire to revert to stone age anarchy, on the contrary, my wish is for all of us to stand-up to those who intentionally misinform the masses that “justice” is a noun for the adjective “just” when it simply is not. It’s only words but they influence our livelihoods. May peace be upon you.

Philosophical Distinctions (Part 1 – Power vs. Powerful)

The thought might have never occurred to you or simply it’s been placed aside in the corner of your muddled mind but there are words in the English language dictionary that deny the philosophical meanings behind nouns and their respective adjectives. I am not here to discuss the criminality and ignorance of the authors from these “reliable” dictionaries but to demonstrate through logical reasoning the paramount definitions essential for mankind. In order to accomplish this task, I have decided to explore the distinction based on what our species values abundantly: desire.

The desire to be powerful and the desire to have power could be interpreted as one in the same and that the crossover is merely an evolutionary matter. But in reality and in the spirit of philosophy they are complete opposites. However, they do share a couple of commonalities. Both terms acknowledge that they have strength over the weak and they both are influential over their “minions”. Yet, their characteristics, the spirit in which they operate and the values they incorporate are significantly different.

The characteristics associated with those who desire to be powerful are negative but nevertheless still appealing for the majority. It includes a desire to dominate, to beat-down their adversaries, to mistreat their competition, to drag people down, cheating, deception and theft. The list is merely an example of some of the characteristics that would belong to an individual who seeks to be powerful. It doesn’t mean that all of them have to be attributed to the same  person. However, I would believe that anyone who’s interested in becoming powerful would follow the same path to achieve and retain it. Generally, these individuals corrupt those he/she wishes to control so that they may dominate them and profit from their weakness. Once the “powerful” have achieved this step, they seek at constantly proving their might loudly and viciously regardless of the outcome to the majority. Their purposes may differ but mostly it is for the appeal of dominance over their fellow species and they reward themselves through materialistic commodities. Those who desire to be powerful also value self-promotion, greed and encourage the dumbing-down of society since it is to their advantage.

On the other hand, those who have the desire for power have benevolent characteristics. They do not advertise their strength even though it is apparent to those that encounter them. They are mindful, caring, considerate, compassionate with high levels of emotional intelligence. They have an uncontrollable willingness to guide and help people, even those who do not comprehend their altruistic intentions. They aren’t oblivious of their power but at the same time do not show it off. They do not preach to the masses about how they acquired it and they do not demonstrate it by trying to prove they possess it. Their intentions are to enlighten those who will listen and to reach out to those who are misguided and lost. Their agenda is to strive for egalitarianism and their wish is for their fellow man to acquire the feeling of having power while at the same time teaching and warning them about the consequences of being powerful.

The popular quote, “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”, applies in this instance since the desire for power does corrupt the World Order while “absolute” power leaves the powerful to do as they please in the name of corruption. It’s worth noting that the powerful are claiming to have power but it is not a reality and those that have been bestowed with power happen to be truthful by stating that theirs is factual and not fiction. It should be retained that both, the desire to be powerful and the desire for power are influential but on different ends of the spectrum, leaving no grey area. On one end there’s good and on the other end there’s evil. It’s up to you to decide which side you wish to belong. May peace be upon you.

The Illusion of Freedom (Part 3–Purchasing Power For Members Only)

The final misconception concerning freedom that I would like to discuss revolves around the notion that mankind has the liberty to purchase whatever they wish to consume. Be it for survival or protection. Planet Earth’s adopted (mostly) economic system gives you the impression that you can buy a product that is for sale if you have the currency and the connections. However, that’s only applicable if you share a similar ideology and are not considered to belong to a nation or a group of individuals that harbours, supports, endorses enemies of the ruling doctrine. The masses are forbidden to circumvent the policies of the established elite and if they desire to do so, they will be berated and punished for their acts of defiance. Below I will list a couple of examples that illustrates this point.

Before I begin, I would just like to clear up any confusion before discussing what I am about to write. I am not, I will re-type this, I am not an advocate, supporter or endorser of any of the entities that I am about to discuss. I simply wish to clear the confusion and “debunk the inculcations” bestowed upon the masses for the sake of being truthful and just.

“The government don’t want you to use your drugs, they want you to use their drugs” (Chris Rock). It would be impossible for anyone to forget that line from one of America’s most revered comedians at the time, simply because it resonates truth. The rulers of your wallet want you to purchase drugs that has been taxed. They want you to purchase “medically approved”, “medically sanctioned” drugs so that you will develop into the being that they want you to become. Someone that doesn’t question the decisions of their elected governmental officials, a being that conforms to their ideals of society, a drone that walks like a human but acts and thinks like a vegan zombie. The ruling elite want you to purchase: Xanax, lithium tablets, Zyprexa, anti-psychotics, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety medications. All the while claiming that it is “healthy” for you when in fact these medications carry an encyclopaedia of side-effects and long-term negative effects on your mind and physiology. Yet, they are vehemently opposed to marijuana. A plant that is grown from the soil of the Earth as opposed to medication which is chemically enhanced and manufactured. The elite have once again oppressed their people by deciding for them what they should purchase and if do not comply and act defiantly, prison or death awaits them. The main reason for the deciders opposition towards marijuana happens to be that it is not addictive like tobacco or alcohol. They won’t be able to profit as much. They would counter this argument by saying that it would deter society and that they are trying to protect their citizens but they neglect to mention that citizens need protection from those who carry weapons around them.

Those who own weapons tend to argue that they need it to defend themselves but the perceptive being would ask: “Who’s attacking you”? They would then argue that they need to protect themselves from those who have “better”, more destructive weapons. The response to that statement would be to ask them all (politely) to get rid of their weapons and end this accumulation of destruction once and for all. Their retort would be less idealistic but more primitive, insinuating that they can’t get rid of their arsenal because they don’t trust others (their fellow species) to do the same, given our (mankind’s) history of deceit and corruption  Since none of us want to go against the claims of history, we would then ask if we could purchase weapons as civilians. They would reply that it depends on your beliefs but ultimately you wouldn’t be able to purchase weapon’s of a similar fortitude. “The inferior one’s would be sufficient for your standards”. Those who adopt and enlist themselves in the “War for Profit” or “the War for the Sake of War” ideology have no intentions of dropping their advantageous stance for the prospect of nullifying the urge to go and combat  against their fellow man. The price for peace is unknown to me but I’m positive a family line out there has a “number” that they are willing to accept.

The elite persecutes and condemns their fellow man for purchasing weed for relaxation and/or wanting an atomic bomb to protect themselves when the irony is that they are controlling the supply&distribution and they are the only ones who are permitted to consume those entities which they deem to be detrimental to the existence of mankind. Their implying that their minority is more trustworthy than the others majority. Their attempt at educating their fellow species by using schoolyard tactics suggesting that they are always in the right and the others will always be in the wrong. This type of narcissistic, ego-maniacal thinking leaves the perceivers to question the legitimacy of their reasoning. Surely, they are not implying that they have a superior claim and therefore are allowed to dictate the purchasing rights of their species. Yet, they do so and the only profit from their demonic decision is phantom power and incalculable currency.

To summarize and conclude the article on “ The Illusion of Freedom”, it is clear that we used to believe in the ideals that we had the freedom to express our thoughts without being condemned, the freedom to move without being halted and the freedom to purchase something without being afraid of retribution, but clearly that doesn’t truly exist or apply to the world we live in. Although, that doesn’t mean that it’s acceptable to just sit and witness the unfolding chaos. On the contrary, it is imperative that everyone continues to fight for freedom, to fight for civility and decency, to fight for justice in the interest of goodness and above all to fight for the truth for it’s all that we have to give and it will set our soul free. May peace be upon you.

The Illusion of Freedom (Part 2–Thought Police, Arrest These Men)

A common misconception throughout the history of mankind is that our species has the liberty to express an opinion without fear of punishment or terminal damage. While the thought could be contrary seems preposterous, it happens to be an undeniable truth which I intend to demonstrate below. First, I will offer some examples of leaders(social, theological, political) who were either imprisoned or murdered for exercising their right to educate and improve “man” through their words of wisdom. Then, I will offer some modern day examples of individuals and events which will support the claim that “freedom of speech” is a deceptive term designed to give false hope for those who wish to express the truth.

Let’s begin around 400 years Before Christ, where a wise but exceedingly irritating philosopher known as Socrates, the Greek philosopher credited for founding Western philosophy, was convicted for “corrupting the minds of the youth” and for failing “to acknowledge the gods of the city”. While the latter charge seems draconian the former seems abundantly absurd. Socrates believed that “the unexamined life is not worth living” so he set off to help his fellow citizens achieve self-examination by asking them a series of questions pertaining to their intentions, albeit in an irritating fashion. The point was to make them discover the purpose behind their actions and motives so that they may achieve enlightenment. Those who were threatened by the inculcations of Socrates decided to end their envy by prosecuting him for merely asking questions about the self through casual conversation (a dialogue). They feared that he might develop a following which would lead them to lose control over the masses. They charged and convicted Socrates for corruption but the irony remains that it was their hearts who were corrupted for supressing and manipulating the truth from their fellow patriots.

Another example in history where speech was in fact not a freedom would be the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I’ve decided not to explore the theological reasons for his crucifixion but rather focus on the social and political reasons for the murder of Jesus Christ. Not only was he a nice guy with a humble lifestyle but he spoke the truth. He preached goodness not just towards one’s self but also to others. He wasn’t violent, he didn’t have malicious or diabolical intentions throughout his life but in fact sought to help his fellow individual. The oppressors were not comfortable with the sentences he was saying nor were they pleased about his increasing popularity. They feared him most of all because they thought Jesus was a threat to their power. Those who fear the truth are doomed to remain in ignorance and that’s how the oppressors wanted it. They silenced Christ for the sake of dominance over their subjects. Unknowingly sacrificing someone’s right to an opinion for blind conformity. “So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you” (Jesus Christ).

Let’s fast forward 20 centuries for the sake of brevity to discuss the assassination of a political leader. The first pertains to Mahatma Gandhi. He liberated his country (India) from colonialism through his inculcations of non-violent protests, demonstrations and self-sacrifices. Gandhi was regarded as a modern day hero but not everyone felt that way. An assassination attempt on his life was foiled the following year from India’s independence. Ten days later, an alleged Hindu fanatic took Gandhi’s life. The assassin claimed he could not forgive Gandhi for his belief that Muslims had an equal right to Hindus and that no-one was better than anyone else. I believe the reason the assassin gave to be true but I’m not persuaded that he was the sole instigator. Regardless, Mahatma Gandhi, the man who brought India back in the rightful control of his people was killed because he preached equality as opposed to believing in oppressing people based on their religion and status. It reveals how words can be detrimental to someone’s life if they do preach peace, respect and unity. “Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth” (Mahatma Gandhi).

Today, you have a sense as to how people are being persecuted for expressing their opinion, whether it is crass and indignant or benevolent and honest. There’s the example of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange who remains in an Ecuadorian Embassy as he avoids imprisonment for expressing the truth about the dealings of governments. There’s the infamous/famous (depending on perception) Edward Snowden who disclosed “classified documents” about how his government are acting as though they are Big Brother, illegally spying on citizens across the World.I believe Snowden is currently in Russia but I might be wrong. The lesser-profiled examples would be athletes and entertainment stars who have to apologize for comments they made on a Twitter or Facebook account. The tragedy is if you fail to apologize you might be an outcaste from society or sent to prison for remarks that you made to a server about a certain issue.

Whether you like to admit it or not, the truth remains that there is no such thing as “freedom of speech” since the oppressors and terrorisers of the ruling elite have the unyielding authority and the delusional entitlement to ban you, convict you and even murder you for the sake of preserving their control over the masses. That doesn’t mean you should stop expressing your feelings, intentions, motivations and general thoughts. On the contrary, think before you speak to the audience you are targeting . Act once you have spoken to those that accept your message. However, always remember that speech isn’t free and the price might mean your life, in death or in enlightenment. Let’s hope for the latter.

The Illusion of Freedom (Part 1 – “You got to Move it, Move it”)

Since the tunnelling out of the womb, we have had the urge to be free. To move freely, to talk without fear and to consume&purchase goods to satisfy our needs. As time went by,we developed this holistic and patriotic regard towards freedom, yet as a species we have grown divided concerning the definition of the term.

Before the exploration and subsequent agreement of the meaning of freedom, it is important to briefly mention how the word is perceived.

Some minds suggest that it is a prerequisite right before they subject themselves to the labours of their ambition and would literally fight to preserve it. Others, consider it is bestowed upon them once their time on this planet expires since they believe to be slaves to their Lord and only He can grant them freedom. It would also be neglectful for me not to mention those who wish to remain ignorant and simply answer in their apathetic way: “I don’t care”.

Now that we SOMEWHAT have an idea of how people adopt the term freedom, we can begin to interpret the liberties that are coined vaguely and largely misconstrued. I have decided to dismiss discussing the notion of “freedom of ideology” since there is a consensus among the elected that westernised democracy is the form of government that should be adopted by every single nation, especially those who are considered by their media to be a threat to their imperialistic ambitions. It would be a waste of energy to explain  how democracy doesn’t necessarily benefit every single nation only to have the cliché response spewed at me:”democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others”.

However, I will gladly discuss the freedoms I mentioned earlier. Let’s begin with the”freedom of movement”. It’s important to note I don’t mean move as in the physical acts of moving but actual freedom to roam around on the same planet that is shared by every single human being on this Earth. Let’s not dwell on how Russians, Iranians, and North Koreans have difficulties visiting their neighbouring nations and other nations belonging to the same continent as them.

Instead, I want to focus on the limitations of travel given to the Lebanese (my target audience). Only two countries in the Middle-East and the Gulf region would permit Lebanese citizens to enter without a pre-approved visa (Syria, Jordan). That would imply that nations such as the U.A.E. aka Dubai, do not trust the Lebanese passport holder as much as…for example….the British passport holder or the owner of an American passport.

The irony that a member of the Arab League (U.A.E )does not trust a citizen whose nation (Lebanon) also belongs to the same organization could not measure to the fact that the U.A.E.  feels safer with citizens from nations that promote domestic&international violence (U.S.A.) and  corrupt regional identity (Britain’s Balfour Declaration). The cherry on the irony ice cream is that Lebanon does allow British and American Passport holders to enter the country without a pre-approved visa but reciprocity isn’t extended. I shouldn’t question the coherency of the decision  made by the foreign affairs minister both past and present but objectively it demeans the  credibility of a nation that is striving to be relevant in the region. It is absolutely grotesque that  Lebanon would allow aggressors and terrorizers to enter the territory for free while its citizens have to pay a Non-Refundable fee in the hundreds of dollars or sterling pounds to visit “The Land of the Free” and the home of the “Queen”.

The people who declare that they are bearers of democratic values and carry an ethos that fuels freedom are in fact oppressing their fellow species of the globe by denying them access to their land and resources. This reaction is based on fear and a willingness to disparage the value of mankind. Therefore it is hard to fathom that there is such a claim as “freedom of movement” since divisions have been created and those with the influence determine who’s allowed to go and who should stay where they are.
